In 1996, Rev. Mike Flippo had been sentenced to life in prison without parole for the bludgeoning death of his wife, Cheryl, at a Babcock State Park cabin in West Virginia.Prosecutors said Flippo was trying to cash in on the life insurance policy he had taken out on his wife about a month before her death. Flippo told police an unidentified man who had been stalking them for several weeks broke into the cabin and knocked him unconscious before killing his wife. After sealing off the crime scene, police opened a briefcase that was on a table inside. In the briefcase, they found several photographs. Prosecutors said the photographs were evidence of a homosexual relationship between Flippo and that man, and that Cheryl Flippo's displeasure with the relationship may have been one of the reasons Flippo decided to kill her.

Saturday, September 12, 1987, began as a typical workday for Dale Kerstetter. The fifty-year-old security guard and maintenance man had worked for twenty-seven years at the Corning Glassworks Plant in Bradford, Pennsylvania. His shift as weekend security guard went from 11pm to 7am. He arrived there early, at 10:30pm, and relieved the other guard. That night, a quarter of a million dollars’ worth of platinum pipe vanished from the plant, and he was never seen again.
On March 24, 1994, twenty-six-year-old Matt Flores arrived at work at around 8:12am. He was then murdered execution-style by an unknown party as he got out of his car. Amazingly, despite security camera footage and a total of twenty people in the parking lot at the time, not one person saw his killer.
In 1990, the victim's body was discovered in a wooded area in Owensboro, Kentucky. The victim had been sexually assaulted and shot six times with a .22 caliber long-rifle. Prior to being shot, the victim was also beaten with a blunt instrument about the face and chest to the point of being facially unrecognizable. The brutality of the crime suggested that it was premeditated and that the abuse and murder of the victim took place over a long period of time. His body lacked hands and feet, and several of his teeth were missing, complicating the identification process. The body was not decomposed, suggesting the murder had taken place a matter of days prior. In April 2022, it was announced that the Trans Doe Task Force was working on his case in association with the Kentucky State Medical Examiner's Office.
Penny Bell, 43, was found murdered on June 6, 1991. At the time of her brutal death, the mum-of-two was a partner in a successful employment agency, Coverstaff Ltd, in Kilburn, north London. The successful twice-married businesswoman seemed like the last person likely to fall victim to such a terrible crime. A £1.5million investigation, more than 8,000 interviews and a £20,000 reward have failed to find who fatally stabbed high-flying businesswoman Penny Bell.

It all started around 8:30 am on the morning of August 9, 1982. The Elgin Post Office was robbed of money orders and stamps, and Betty Jane Mottinger, the postmaster on duty was also abducted. Elgin, Ohio is a very rural town. The total population during 1982 was at 50 people max. Everyone who lived in Elgin, Ohio knew everyone because of its small size. The United States Postal Inspectors oversaw the case during the afternoon after the crime was committed.
