On this episode of Behind the Numbers, our guest is Dr. Sammie Parsley, CPA, CMA, CIA, CGMA, a tax manager with Carr, Riggs, and Ingram, CPAs. He holds a doctorate in accounting from the University of Missouri-Stl where his research focused on behavioral accounting. Dr. Parsley discusses the relationship of Leader-Member Exchange on role stress and burnout. Dr. Parsley uses a public accounting perspective within this episode, however, much of what is discussed can be applied to many companies and roles to develop policies to promote culture that will assist in mitigating the negative effects of job stress.
