Pastor Daniel RobertsonLife has a way of throwing pain our way, but here's the truth we need to hold onto: your pain doesn't have to become your name.In 1 Chronicles, we meet a man literally named "Pain" - Jabez. Yet instead of letting his name define his destiny, he prayed one of the most powerful prayers in Scripture. He asked God to bless him, enlarge his territory, keep His hand upon him, and protect him from harm. And God answered.Too many of us are carrying labels from our past - divorce, addiction, failure, brokenness. But those aren't your identity. You are a child of God, and He has so much more for you than just surviving your circumstances. This Sunday we talked about praying through pain instead of praying in vain. The enemy wants you to believe your prayers don't matter or that you're not worthy to approach God. But here's what Scripture tells us: God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind.Prayer isn't about getting God to move toward us - He's already there. Prayer is about us moving toward Him, coming into agreement with what He already wants to do in our lives. If you're struggling today, know this: Greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world. Your past doesn't disqualify you. Your pain doesn't define you. And God's not finished writing your story. We're blessed to be a blessing. Let's stop letting the enemy write our narrative and start living in the freedom Jesus died to give us.for a full video version and message notes:lakeviewpeople.com/messages
