Terry is a former Navy Corpsman and served in Kuwait & Iraq in 2002 and 2003. He Got his Master's Degree in Biblical studies and founded a non-profit called VEL INSTITUTE, which serves veterans in learning leadership and life skills. Danny was the son of a Pastor, living in the south before he was uprooted by his parents' relocation to the Pacific Northwest. At the age of 14, he was faced with the culture shock of public school, after being home-schooled his entire life. He would resort to alcohol and drugs to make friends in a new environment. Danny dropped out of school at the age of 15 and left home to live on the streets and from crack house to crack house. He was the victim of sexual abuse and became a drug addict at the end of his rope.After lying on the floor with a needle in his arm, syringe dangling, he realized this would be his legacy and how people would remember him. It was that realization that lead to him checking into a rehabilitation facility, where he would eventually get clean and sober. He is now the founder and CEO of Rock Bottom Hope. This ministry is a resource for people in the same situation Danny was in long ago. They provide a safe environment for people to be heard and for addicts to find sobriety and counseling.
