This episode is a veritable masterclass on Spot, as it has been my main specialty over the last 7 years.  In less than an hour I shared most of my knowledge about Spot I learned in all these years as a user, developer and Specialist SA for Spot and Graviton. I covered the basics in detail, then discussed the various AWS native Spot integrations, as well as the main 3rd party tools in this space with their pros and cons, including my own AutoSpotting tool.

In this episode I'm covering Enterprise Discount Programs, which offer another AWS cost optimization mechanism that helps large AWS customers get better pricing by negotiating private discounts with AWS, and also without any changes to the infrastructure.

This is a follow up on my previous episode on Reserved Instances and Savings plans. In the previous episode i talked a lot about the technology, and focused on the the various types of reserved instances and savings plans. In this episode I'm talking about strategies for how to implement them in practice in your AWS account, including my recommendation on which option to choose, and in which case it makes the most sense to use 3rd party tools for automated purchase and selling of standard RIs.

This is our first technical deep dive, covering the commitment based purchase options for Amazon AWS, named Reserved Instances and Savings Plans.

This first episode is not technical, just a little autobiography. I'm talking in quite some detail about my journey so far, so you get to know me and get familiar with my background.
