Sudo's DiaryMay 19, 2024This weekend was a rollercoaster! Mom and Dad had a first-aid class at Dad's work (sounds like they're training to be real-life superheroes!). Since they were busy learning how to bandage boo-boos and maybe even save lives, I got to stay at school with my teacher and all my friends. It was like a giant free-for-all playdate – even the older kids were there! They were super cool, letting me borrow their giant building blocks that were bigger than my head! We built a whole city together, complete with towering skyscrapers, winding roads, and a bustling pretend marketplace. I even got to be the fire chief of our make-believe fire station (don't worry, the only fires we fought were imaginary ones!).Later, when Mom and Dad finally arrived to pick me up, the rain decided to throw a gigantic fit. It poured down like a waterfall, so much that it even filled the space around the wheels of Dad's motorcycle! We had to wait inside for a while while Dad carefully maneuvered the bike out of the puddle. Scary stuff, but Dad handled it like a pro, just like a superhero navigating a tricky obstacle course! Looks like the rainy season has officially arrived, turning the sunny days into a memory. And guess what? Even though we live on the first floor, my room somehow got flooded again! Crazy, right? Mom and Dad said it might have something to do with a clogged drainpipe outside. After a quick cleaning mission (everyone pitched in – even I helped by carrying some of my favorite toys to a safe, dry spot!), we headed off to a wedding for one of Dad's friends. It was my first wedding ever, and it was magical! There was yummy food galore (I especially loved the tiny cupcakes that were decorated like little butterflies!), everyone was dressed in their fanciest clothes (they all looked like sparkly princes and princesses!), and the best part – fireworks! They filled the whole sky with colorful bursts, like someone sprinkled a giant bag of glitter across the universe. On the way home, the rain returned for another round, but this time, thanks to Dad's afternoon drainpipe-fixing mission, my room stayed safe and dry. This morning, we were all set for my vaccination, but the doctor said I wasn't quite feeling my best. Bummer! So, we went to the playroom at the clinic, but it was bursting with other kids, and there wasn't any space left for me to play. Back home we went! Seems like the rainy day yesterday caught up with Dad too – he had a fever and had to rest in bed all afternoon. But don't worry, by evening he was feeling much better and took me to see a different doctor. Turns out, I wasn't sick at all, just a few sneaky ant bites that were making me a little itchy! After that, it was grocery shopping time with Mom and Dad. We got fruits (because healthy superheroes need vitamins to fight off any villains!), yummy cakes (because sometimes even superheroes deserve a treat!), meat and veggies (for more superhero fuel!), and all the ingredients Mom needs to whip up some delicious porridge for me to take to school tomorrow. Maybe I can even help her decorate it with some fun fruit shapes – a star for bravery, a heart for kindness, and a smiley face for a happy day!The diary entry you provided includes 5 new words:Bandage (noun): A strip of material used to support or protect an injured part of the body.Example 1: The nurse applied a bandage to my scraped knee to stop the bleeding.Example 2: The mummy was wrapped in bandages from head to toe.Example 3: I learned how to put on a basic bandage during first-aid training.Clogged (adjective): Blocked or obstructed, often with something soft or sticky.Example 1: The kitchen sink was clogged with food scraps, so the water wouldn't drain.Example 2: My nose is clogged from allergies, making it hard to breathe.Example 3: The traffic on the freeway was clogged due to a major accident.Gigantic (adjective): Very large or enormous in size.Example 1: The construction crew expertly manoeuvred the gigantic crane to lift the heavy steel beams.Example 2: The captain skillfully manoeuvred the gigantic ship through a narrow channel.Example 3: We had to manoeuvred the gigantic furniture around to fit the new couch in the living room.Bustling (adjective): Full of activity and noise.Example 1: The market was bustling with people buying and selling fresh fruits and vegetables.Example 2: The city streets were bustling with traffic during rush hour.Example 3: The restaurant was bustling with customers on a Friday night.Galore (adverb): In large quantities; abundantly.Example 1: The birthday party had food galore – pizza, cake, ice cream, and more!Example 2: The store was having a sale with toys galore, making it hard to resist buying something for everyone on my list.Example 3: The garden was filled with flowers galore, creating a beautiful and colorful display.
Sudo's DiaryMay 16, 2024Today at daycare was like a dream come true! The ball pit was calling my name, and let me tell you, diving into that mountain of colorful balls was pure joy. It felt like swimming in a rainbow, and the slide was like a rocket blasting me off to another world. My friends were there too, and for a while, it felt like we were pirates searching for buried treasure in a sea of plastic. We tossed the balls high in the air, giggling as they rained down on us, and chased each other in a whirlwind of laughter and sunshine. But all that playtime made my tummy rumble like a hungry lion!Lunchtime was a lifesaver! I scarfed down my food faster than you can say "apple sauce," my taste buds dancing with every delicious bite. After lunch, though, a wave of sleepiness washed over me. One minute I was building a tower with blocks, the next I was sprawled out on the mat like a little starfish, catching some much-needed Zzzs. I guess all that pirate treasure hunting takes a lot of energy! The funny thing is, I actually woke up first from nap time. But instead of waking everyone else up, I tiptoed over to the toy corner like a secret agent on a mission. There, hidden amongst all the familiar toys, I spotted a sparkly new one I'd never seen before! It was like a magical discovery, and I spent the rest of my quiet time exploring all its buttons, levers, and whirring sounds.Yesterday, however, wasn't quite as bright and cheerful. The rain decided to throw a giant tantrum, pouring down from the sky in buckets and buckets. The noise was like a monster stomping its feet, and it scared me half to death. And then, things got even worse! The rain somehow snuck its way into my room, making the floor all wet and squishy. My favorite toys were floating around like little boats, and I couldn't play with them anymore. Tears welled up in my eyes, and I ran straight to Mom, burrowing into her arms like a scared little puppy. She held me close all night, whispering calming words that chased away the scary storm clouds in my head. But Dad was my hero! He grabbed a mop like a brave knight and battled all that water on the floor. He mopped and he squeezed, drying everything up until the floor sparkled like a brand new penny. It took ages, but by bedtime, my room was back to normal. Even though the storm was scary, having Mom and Dad by my side made everything feel safe again. They're the best monster-chasers and rain-battlers in the whole world! The diary entry you provided includes 5 new words:Sparkled (verb): To shine brightly with small flashes of light.Example 1: The disco ball glittered and sparkled, casting a dazzling light on the dance floor.Example 2: The freshly fallen snow sparkled in the morning sunlight, creating a winter wonderland.Example 3: Her eyes sparkled with excitement as she opened her birthday present.Scarfed (verb): To eat something quickly and greedily.Example 1: I scarfed down a slice of pizza after a long day at work.Example 2: The children scarfed down their cookies before bedtime.Example 3: He scarfed down his sandwich in a hurry, not wanting to miss the train.Squishy (adjective): Soft and easily squeezed or shaped.Example 1: The baby played with a squishy ball, giggling as it squished in her hand.Example 2: The overripe banana was soft and squishy.Example 3: I walked across the squishy sand on the beach, leaving footprints behind.Burrowed (verb): To dig or force oneself into a hole or other confined space.Example 1: The rabbit burrowed into the ground to hide from the fox.Example 2: The children burrowed under the blankets, creating a cozy fort.Example 3: The dog burrowed its head in its owner's lap, seeking comfort.Mopped (verb): To clean a floor with a mop.Example 1: She mopped the kitchen floor after dinner.Example 2: The janitor mopped the hallway to remove the dirt and dust.Example 3: After the rain stopped, I mopped up the water that had leaked into the basement.
sudo diaryMay 14, 2024School again! Today started with a bit of a bump in the road. Teacher pulled me aside to talk about something that happened yesterday with another friend. Seems like I wasn't being the most awesome classmate. I don't exactly remember what went down, but it's definitely a reminder to keep those sunshine vibes radiating outwards! Luckily, things bounced back faster than a bouncy ball after that. The ball pit was calling my name like a siren song, and let me tell you, diving into those colorful mountains of fun was pure joy. Learning time snuck up next, and it seems I'm a total rockstar with the alphabet! Those letters on the mat didn't stand a chance. Teacher must have thought I looked pretty cool too, because she filmed me playing outside. Guess I'm a natural! After conquering the alphabet like a superhero, I decided to channel my inner equestrian and rode a fancy new hobby horse like a champ. Stairs? No problem! I scaled them like a pro, crawling all the way to the top. Then came playtime, and let's just say my imagination went into overdrive. Building towers that reached for the clouds, having tea parties with invisible friends, maybe even going on a daring safari adventure – who knows what kind of epic stories I unfolded!Nap time... well, that wasn't exactly my jam today. Seems the sleep fairy forgot to sprinkle me with her magic dust. While all the other little ones were off in dreamland, I was wide awake and feeling like a detective. The floor mats suddenly transformed into a giant puzzle, and I just had to investigate what treasures they might be hiding underneath. Maybe there were buried dinosaur bones or a secret tunnel leading to another playground on the other side? The possibilities were endless! The afternoon brought a change of pace with some farmyard friends. Flashcards featuring a pigeon, a cow, and a rabbit piqued my curiosity. Learning about animals is always fun, and it sparked a daydream about cuddling a fluffy bunny or maybe even riding a majestic cow (although that might be a bit tricky!). Maybe this is a hint about a future trip to a real farm? That would be the moo-st amazing adventure ever! Just thinking about it makes me udderly happy! Although, maybe I should ask the teacher if cows actually give hugs...
May 9, 2024Ugh, this morning wasn't the best. My nose wouldn't stop running, and it felt all stuffed up. Dad said it wasn't a monster living in there (even though it kind of felt like it!), just a silly cold. So, off we went to the doctor. Doctors are okay, I guess. They give you weird-tasting stuff, but at least they have cool toys in the waiting room. This time, I got a special prize – a yucky nose spray! It definitely doesn't taste like candy, but Dad says it will help me feel better. Three times a day, he says. I crinkled my nose just thinking about it.At school, I was happy to see my friend Liam back in class. He looked a little pale yesterday, but today he seemed much better. But guess what? Now Sarah's staying home, sniffling and coughing just like I was. I hope she feels better soon too!Lunchtime was a little different today. No yummy sandwiches or fruit salad from Mom. Instead, I had a big bowl of warm oatmeal. It was a bit bland, but it did fill my tummy and give me some energy for swim class.Speaking of swim class, it's still not my favorite thing in the world. All that splashing and kicking makes me feel a little out of breath. But hey, I'm learning some cool stuff! Today, I practiced holding my breath underwater for a few seconds – it felt like being a little mermaid for a moment! It's still a work in progress, but I'm getting better at kicking my legs and paddling my arms. Maybe someday I'll be able to zoom through the water like a real fish! After swim class, it was time to go home. Usually, Mom picks me up, but today she had to take a Grab car. I wanted to sit in the front seat with Dad, but Mom said it's safer for little explorers like me to sit in the back. Even though I pouted a little, I knew she was right. When Dad came to pick me up, he had a surprise! We were going outside to water the plants in the garden. I love helping Dad with the garden. Holding the big hose makes me feel like a superhero, spraying water everywhere to make the flowers and vegetables grow. Today, though, I got a little too excited. I chased a butterfly and accidentally sprayed water straight up in the air. Before I knew it, I was soaked from head to toe! It was kind of funny, and a little bit chilly, but Dad just laughed and helped me dry off.Dinner wasn't as exciting as the garden adventure. Mom made chicken and vegetables. At first, I wasn't too thrilled, but Dad convinced me to try a bite. Surprisingly, it wasn't bad at all! I even had a tiny piece of mango for dessert, which was absolutely delicious!By bedtime, I was exhausted. All that swimming, gardening, and chasing butterflies made me sleepy. I snuggled up in my pajamas, said goodnight to Dad, and drifted off to sleep faster than a race car. Maybe tonight I'll dream about swimming with mermaids, soaring through the clouds like a butterfly, or growing the tallest mango tree ever!Tomorrow's a new day, and I can't wait to see what adventures it brings!New words:Crinkled (verb): To make small wrinkles or folds, especially in your face.Examples:I crinkled my nose when I smelled the stinky socks. She crinkled her eyes as she smiled brightly at her friend. The old paper crinkled in my hand as I unfolded it.Pale (adjective): Light in color, often because someone is unwell or scared.Examples:Liam looked a little pale yesterday, so I wasn't surprised he stayed home from school today. The ghost in the movie was so scary, it made me pale! The beach umbrella provided some shade, but my skin still got a little pale after spending all day at the beach.Sniffling and coughing (adverb phrase): Making small sniffing noises and coughing repeatedly, usually because you have a cold.Examples:Sarah was sniffling and coughing all day, so the teacher sent her home early.I felt a tickle in my throat and started sniffling and coughing. After being out in the cold rain all day, I came down with a cold and started sniffling and coughing.Mermaid (noun): A mythical creature from the sea with the head and torso of a human and the tail of a fish.Examples:In today's swim class, I practiced holding my breath underwater for a few seconds – it felt like being a little mermaid for a moment! The children loved reading stories about mermaids and pirates. There are many different mermaid legends from cultures around the world.Spraying (verb): To force a liquid out of a container in a fine mist or stream.Examples:I loved spraying the plants in the garden with the hose. The fire truck sprayed water on the burning building. The perfume bottle accidentally sprayed all over my clothes!Toe (noun): The five small digits at the end of your foot.Examples:I stubbed my toe on the corner of the table.I painted my toenails with bright pink polish. We can wiggle our toes to feel the soft sand between them at the beach.
Little Sudo's day was a whirlwind! ♀️ From splashing in the pool to learning shapes in class ️, this busy bee even shared their cold with a friend (oops!) But flashcards & yummy lunch made everything better! #toddlerlife #learning #dailyvlog #fypWow, today was a busy bee kind of day! It all started with the coolest adventure – swimming! Splashing around in the water is so much fun. I feel like a little fish, kicking my legs and trying to paddle with my arms. I'm not quite ready to win any swimming races yet, but I'm getting better every day.Unfortunately, all that fun in the water might have come with a little hitchhiker – a runny nose! I hate feeling like I have a cold, but I guess that's just part of being a little person, right? One of my friends in class even caught it from me and had to stay home from school (absent). I hope they feel better soon! Even though I wasn't feeling my best, Dad still took me to school. Mom came along too, but only for a little while. She wanted to make sure I was comfortable and settled in (adjusted to a new environment) before she went to work.School was still pretty awesome, even with my sniffles. I played with my friends, learned new things, and had the most delicious lunch that Mom packed for me (thanks, Mom!). When afternoon came, I was so happy to see Mom again when she came to pick me up.We spent the rest of the day having a quiet time together at home. First, it was dinnertime, and guess what? I ate everything on my plate – a real champion! After dinner, I brought out my favorite flashcards – the ones with all the pictures of yummy fruits and vegetables. Guess what? I'm getting really good at recognizing (identifying) all of them! Bananas, apples, carrots, broccoli – you name it, I can point it out! Before bedtime, I had a warm, relaxing bath to wash away all the sniffles and wiggles from the day. Then, it was cuddle time with my favorite teddy bear. I was so tired from all the fun and learning (even though my nose wasn't feeling its best) that I drifted off to sleep (fell asleep peacefully) super quickly. Tonight, I dreamt of swimming with the fishes, playing tag with my friends, and maybe even seeing a giant banana tree full of delicious treats!I can't wait to see what adventures tomorrow brings!New Words & PhrasesStay home from school (absent): This means to not go to school, usually because of illness.Examples:I had to stay home from school yesterday because I had a fever. The teacher announced that several students would be absent due to the flu.I felt a little under the weather today, so I decided to stay home from school and rest.Settle in (adjusted to a new environment): This means to become comfortable and relaxed in a new place.Examples:It took me a few days to settle in to my new apartment. The new puppy is still a little nervous, but I hope it will settle in soon.Let's give the new student some time to settle in before we introduce them to everyone.Recognize (identify): This means to be able to see or understand something and know what it is.Examples:I can recognize all the letters of the alphabet. The dog recognized its owner's voice and ran to greet them. Can you recognize the different types of clouds in the sky?Drift off to sleep (fall asleep peacefully): This means to fall asleep slowly and peacefully.Examples:After a long day, I drifted off to sleep as soon as my head hit the pillow. She listened to calming music before bed, which helped her drift off to sleep. The gentle rocking of the hammock helped the baby drift off to sleep.

Today, it was a struggle to get out of bed. I guess yesterday's adventures left me feeling extra snuggly. But Dad wouldn't let me sleep in forever! He started his silly bird chirping routine, and before I knew it, the day had officially begun. After some cuddles with Mom, we headed to the kitchen for breakfast and prep for school. Speaking of school, guess what? Yesterday, I got the coolest upgrade – a brand new, super comfy seat for the front of Dad's motorbike. No more squeezing in the back for me! Being in the front seat is amazing. I get to see everything – the busy streets, the colorful houses, even the fluffy clouds floating by. It feels like I'm on a tiny adventure before the real adventure even starts at school!Unfortunately, today's adventure almost started a little late. I woke up a bit later than usual, and by the time we got to school, breakfast was almost over! Thankfully, my super-nice teacher came to the rescue. She helped me gobble up the rest of my breakfast – yum! After that, it was milk time and then off to class.Today's class was all about shapes! It was so cool to see my teacher use giant scissors to cut out all sorts of fun things – flowers, trees, even little houses! I can't wait to learn how to do that myself someday.Lunchtime came next, and guess what? I got to enjoy the delicious lunch Mom packed for me. It was even better after the teacher helped me warm it up a bit. Thanks, teacher! With a full tummy, it was time for some playtime with my friends. We had a dino-tastic time chasing each other around and pretending to be fierce (but totally adorable) dinosaurs. It was so much fun roaring and stomping around the playground! But all good things must come to an end, and soon it was nap time. My teacher, who seems to be an expert at everything (including lullabies!), gently rocked me to sleep. This time, something different happened. I usually wake up in the middle of my nap, but today, I slept all the way through! However, there was a little surprise waiting for me when I woke up. Oops! Let's just say there was a bit of an accident in my diaper. Don't worry, though. Mom and the teacher explained that these things happen sometimes, and it's totally normal for little kids like me.After a quick cleanup, it was time for another fun class. Today, we learned a super important skill – how to clean up spills! My teacher showed us how to use a soft towel to wipe up water on the table. Then, the best part – we all got to try it ourselves! It was like magic! The water just disappeared with a few swipes of the towel. I felt so proud of myself for learning something new.By the afternoon, the sky had turned a bit gray and it started raining. That meant a later pick-up time for me. When Mom finally arrived, she had a little chat with my teacher about all my adventures (and mishaps!) throughout the day. The teacher even told Mom how much I've improved! Apparently, I don't ask her to carry me around as much anymore, which makes me feel like a big, strong kid.Dinner tonight was a delicious treat – my all-time favorite banana and avocado combo! After dinner, Dad and I took a little trip to the rooftop. It's always fun to see all the green plants growing up there, and maybe even catch a glimpse of one of the neighborhood cats. By the end of the day, I was completely wiped out! Time to snuggle up in bed and let Mom and Dad have some peace and quiet for a while.See you all in the next diary entry! Who knows what exciting things tomorrow will bring? Stay tuned!
May 6, 2024Yesterday was a big day for a little guy like me! It was vaccination day, just like Mom promised. Now, I know shots might sound scary, but guess what? I was a total superhero! No tears, no fuss, just two little pricks (one in each arm and leg, to be exact) and I handled them like a champ. There was another kid there getting their shots at the same time, and let me tell you, they weren't as brave as me. They cried a whole lot, but hey, that's okay. We all have our moments, right? After my big, brave moment, I got to hang out in the play area for a cool 30 minutes. It's like a reward for being such a trooper! While I was busy exploring all the fun toys, I met a bunch of new friends. Some of them were super nice and shared everything – blocks, cars, the whole shebang! Others, well, let's just say sharing wasn't their strong suit. They clung to their toys like they were gold, wouldn't let me even touch them. But hey, you win some, you lose some, right?Last night, I was a little worried about getting a fever after those shots. Mom and Dad even warned me about it. But guess what? No fever in sight! Instead, we had a blast playing together. We played this fun game called "Shuttlecock kicking." It's where you have a feathered shuttlecock and you have to kick it back and forth with your feet. Apparently, I'm a natural! I kept running around chasing the shuttlecock, making Mom and Dad scramble after me. It was so much fun, and the best part? I wore them both out! After all that exercise, I slept like a rock the whole night. Not a single sniffle or cough – just sweet, peaceful sleep.Speaking of yummy things, almost forgot to tell you about the amazing treat I got yesterday afternoon! Uncle Nhat came over and brought me a whole crab! Now, I may be little, but I know a delicious meal when I see one. Dad cooked it up perfectly, and then carefully took all the meat out for me to eat. Crab meat – wow! Let me tell you, it was like a party in my mouth. Every bite was a delicious explosion of sweet and savory flavors. It was absolutely the best. And guess what? Mom says it's super healthy too, full of calcium to help me grow big and strong. Sounds like a win-win to me!Today was Sunday, and let me tell you, it was a busy day in the best way possible! The morning started off with a fun activity – making yogurt! Okay, so maybe Mom had already prepped things the night before, but that doesn't mean I didn't help! The coolest part was filling up the little containers with the yogurt mixture. At first, Mom and Dad were a little clumsy with the strings, but they got the hang of it quickly. And guess what? I was a super helper the whole time! No fussing, no crying, just patiently waiting for my turn (which never came, because apparently, yogurt-making isn't a one-person job!).Speaking of teamwork, Dad and Uncle Linh finished building the grape trellis today! It looks super sturdy, like a little grape mansion in the making. Mom says it will take about 3 months for the grapes to grow big enough to eat. Three months? That feels like forever for a little guy like me, but the thought of picking those juicy purple grapes myself makes it all worth the wait. I can practically taste them already! On a slightly less exciting note, I haven't been feeling my best lately. My nose has been a bit runny, and sometimes it gets all stuffy at night, which makes it hard to breathe. That makes me a little cranky sometimes, so I end up crying a bit. But don't worry, Dad's a superhero in his own right! He has this special tool that helps him get those pesky boogers out of my nose. It feels a little weird at first, but then I can breathe easy again and drift off to sleep soundly.Tomorrow's another school day, and I can't wait to see my teacher and all my friends again. Who knows what new adventures await me at school? Maybe we'll learn a new song, or maybe we'll get to paint pictures with our fingers. Whatever it is, I'm sure it will be a blast! Stay tuned for more updates in my diary! See you tomorrow!
May 2, 2024School! Wow, school! Today was my very first day, and let me tell you, it was a whirlwind of new experiences. Mommy packed the most amazing lunch last night (seriously, does she know how to make food smell this good?), and I gobbled down some yummy minced meat for breakfast. This morning was a bit wobbly though. Mom and Dad both came to walk me in, which was great, but when my teacher picked me up, I let out a wail that could probably be heard from the next town! Luckily, it only lasted about 30 seconds. Before I knew it, I was having a blast playing with all the new toys and faces in the classroom.School is a lot different than staying at home with Mom and Dad. Here, everything seems to happen at a specific time. There's breakfast at 8:00 AM sharp, followed by a yummy cup of milk (which I mostly drank this time!), and then it's learning time! Today, we learned something super important – fire safety! Apparently, fire is a big no-no, and it can be really scary. I learned how to identify fire alarms and even practiced crawling low on the ground – like a tiny firefighter!By lunchtime, all that learning and playing made me feel a little wiped out. When it was time for milk and nap time with the other kids, I just wasn't feeling it. My teacher, who seems super nice by the way (she smells like sunshine and cookies!), must have known because she picked me right up and gave me the best cuddle. We snuggled together for a while, and before I knew it, I was off to dreamland. The afternoon brought more fun though! We played this cool game with flashcards that had pictures of animals on them. Guess how many new animal friends I made today? Three! There's a fluffy one called a chicken, a really loud one called a lion, and a super fast one called a deer. I can't wait to learn more about them tomorrow.Speaking of tomorrow, when Mom came to pick me up this afternoon, I was so excited I could barely contain myself! Apparently, being an official school kid comes with some pretty cool perks. My teacher gave me a brand new backpack, a bag to hold all my clothes (because apparently, even little me needs to be prepared!), and a whole new outfit that fits perfectly.Back home, Dad and I wasted no time in getting down to some serious business – building with Legos! We have this awesome Lego table and chair set that I got when I was a tiny little bean, but I guess I had to wait until I turned one to be a master builder. We built the coolest tower ever, even though it did topple over a few times (but hey, that's all part of the learning process, right?).After all that fun, my tummy was rumbling again, so I had a delicious dinner. Now, tucked safely in my bed, I'm feeling super sleepy (7:30 PM bedtime seems to be the new norm!). Good night everyone! See you tomorrow for another exciting adventure at school! I wonder what new things I'll learn and who I'll meet? Stay tuned for more updates in my diary!
Sudo is writing about their first birthday celebration! They were happy to receive many presents and celebrate with family in the countryside, even though it was hot. They missed taking more pictures but are looking forward to next year. Before the birthday, they had a joint birthday celebration for their grandparents, who live on different schedules. Unfortunately, Grandma couldn't eat cake due to her diet.Back in the city, Sudo had a nice dinner with their family but could only eat rice cakes. They also shared exciting news about Mom's Stephania Erecta plant growing well, but a mishap with a strong fan caused some damage. Dad managed to save it, though. Finally, Sudo is excited to go back to school tomorrow and see their friends and teachers again. They can't wait for the new adventures that await!
The day began ordinary, sunlight whispering an adventure. Yet, a surprise yawn ambushed me at school, leading to a cozy classroom nap under Miss's watchful eye. Laughter filled the afternoon as Grandma arrived, not to take me home, but to join in the fun with games and wild stories. Evenings had been different lately, with earlier bedtimes for extra work time for Mom and Dad. Though I cherished the extra playtime, a pang of missing their bedtime routines settled in. Today, however, reminded me that familiar comforts, like Mom's goodnight kiss and Grandma's playful spirit, were the heart of our happy home. It was a day of unexpected turns, reminding me that new experiences are wonderful, but appreciating the familiar makes them even sweeter.
The Thrifty Treasure Hunt (5 New Words)Barter (verb): to exchange goods or services without using moneyIngenious (adjective): clever, original, and inventiveHaggling (verb): arguing about the price of something you want to buyFlourish (verb): to thrive, grow well, or succeedThrifty (adjective): careful not to waste moneyMy weekends used to be spent glued to my phone, scrolling through endless shopping apps. But lately, I've discovered a hidden gem – the local flea market. It's a bustling marketplace filled with a fascinating jumble of old and new treasures. The first thing that struck me was the absence of price tags. Here, people don't just buy, they barter (exchange goods or services without money). It's like a game of friendly haggling (arguing about the price) where you use your negotiation skills and a little bit of charm to land the perfect deal. One sunny Saturday, I spotted a beautiful hand-painted scarf tucked away in a corner stall. The owner, a kind-faced lady named Ms. Lee, explained she made it herself. I didn't have enough cash, but I remembered an old book I barely read gathering dust on my shelf. With a touch of nervousness, I proposed a trade – the book for the scarf. Ms. Lee's eyes lit up with delight! My ingenious (clever and inventive) idea had paid off!Fleamarket finds go beyond just material things. It's a place where stories flourish (thrive). One afternoon, I met a talented musician selling his handcrafted instruments. He shared his passion for music and even gave me a quick lesson on the ukulele. The best part? Being thrifty (careful not to waste money) has unlocked a sense of satisfaction far greater than any online purchase. Sudo excitedly starts first grade (or kindergarten). Nervous at first, Sudo warms up to Ms. Hoài, his kind teacher. The classroom is a wonderland of toys, books, and a giant teddy bear! Sudo makes a new friend, Emily, and they play together. Singing in circle time is scary at first, but Sudo gets applause! Leaving is tough, but the promise of returning makes it easier. Sudo's tired but happy, excited for more school adventures. He wonders what tomorrow will bring - maybe painting or playdough? Can't wait to see Ms. Hoài and Emily again! Goodnight, diary!
Today (April 21st) was a fun and exciting day for Sudo, but also a little nerve-wracking! Accomplishments: Sudo helped clean up his toys all by himself, showing off his growing independence. Fun with friends: He played outside with his friends in the alley, laughing and having a great time. New toy: Sudo received a delightful new toy - a little drumming piggy! He spent the afternoon playing with it and making happy noises. First day of school jitters: Tomorrow is Sudo's first day of school! While excited to meet new teachers and friends, he's also a little nervous about going somewhere new without Mom. Mom's health: Unfortunately, Mom is still not feeling well. Sudo misses her smile and hopes she gets better soon. Immunizations: Due to being sick, Sudo's immunization appointment had to be rescheduled for after his birthday. Overall, it was a day filled with anticipation and preparation for Sudo's big first day of school!
