Big Idea of the Series: In this eight-week series on the book of Philippians, we will examine the source of Paul’s defiant joy while he lived under house arrest in Rome. The apostle Paul was a light to the Philippians, radiating joy to a church disheartened by their mentor’s imprisonment. Like Paul’s letter to the church in Philippi, this series is designed to encourage the church to find joy in the midst of suffering, bringing hope to those who are hurting.Key Verse: Philippians 4:10–20.Summary: Paul can be joyful in all situations because he has learned to be content in all situations. Christians should not seek abundance and affluence, but contentment, which breeds happiness.__________________________________Instagram:https://www.instagram.com/legacychurchtx/Join us in person:https://legacychurchhutto.comMusic used with permission:Dreamers by Mixaund | https://mixaund.bandcamp.com

Christ’s love is the driving force behind everything we do at Legacy Church. We believe that being animated by His love means we are called to serve first, just as He came not to be served but to serve. This love moves us to take the initiative to care for others, whether within our church family or the broader community. We believe authentic leadership begins with service and are committed to leading by example. By being the first to serve, we demonstrate the depth of Christ’s love and create a culture where serving others is a joyful privilege, not a burden.Instagram:https://www.instagram.com/legacychurchtx/Join us in person:https://legacychurchhutto.comIntro music used with permission:Dreamers by Mixaund | https://mixaund.bandcamp.com
Discipleship is more than a program – it is a way of life. The church is committed to helping every member grow closer to the Lord and become more like Christ through intentional teaching, mentoring, and accountability. Every generation has an active role to play in making the love of Jesus known and discipling other Christians. Whether it’s through small groups, Bible studies, or simply living life together, Legacy Church prioritizes spiritual growth and the development of Christ-like character in every believer.Instagram:https://www.instagram.com/legacychurchtx/Join us in person:https://legacychurchhutto.comIntro music used with permission:Dreamers by Mixaund | https://mixaund.bandcamp.com
Legacy Church is relentless in relationship—seeing people as uniquely made in God’s image and meeting them where they are. We believe life is best lived together, leaning into the “beautiful mess” of community to grow in faith, unity, and love. Our goal: a culture of belonging that points the world to Jesus.Instagram:https://www.instagram.com/legacychurchtx/Join us in person:https://legacychurchhutto.comIntro music used with permission:Dreamers by Mixaund | https://mixaund.bandcamp.com
What if everything you did—every word, every task, every interaction—was done as if you were doing it for Jesus Himself?Dedicated to Excellence – At Legacy Church, we believe God deserves our very best—not leftovers. Whether in worship, teaching, serving, or simply how we treat one another, we aim to go beyond the minimum and do all things well, as if serving the Lord Himself (Colossians 3:17, 23). Excellence isn’t perfection—it’s honoring God by giving our time, talent, and treasure with a good attitude, even when people may not seem to “deserve” it. From praying over coffee pods to meeting people exactly where they are, we strive to reflect God’s love in every detail. Join us as we explore how to live out this value in ways that bless God and bless people.Instagram:https://www.instagram.com/legacychurchtx/Join us in person:https://legacychurchhutto.comIntro music used with permission:Dreamers by Mixaund | https://mixaund.bandcamp.com
We are driven by the conviction that the Gospel is meant to disrupt complacency and transform lives. We challenge both cultural norms and church traditions that hinder the full expression of Christ’s love and truth. This disruptive spirit is not about being contrary for its own sake but about faithfully living out the gospel's radical message. We strive to be agents of change, willing to step outside our comfort zones, embrace the unexpected, and make bold moves for the kingdom of God. Our mission is to disrupt the ordinary with the gospel's extraordinary power, bringing light to dark places and hope to those who have none.Instagram:https://www.instagram.com/legacychurchtx/Join us in person:https://legacychurchhutto.comIntro music used with permission:Dreamers by Mixaund | https://mixaund.bandcamp.com
“God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble” (James 4:6). Christians are not to “repay evil for evil or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary,” we are to “bless, for to this [we] were called, that [we] may obtain a blessing” (1 Peter 3:9).Instagram:https://www.instagram.com/legacychurchtx/Join us in person:https://legacychurchhutto.comIntro music used with permission:Dreamers by Mixaund | https://mixaund.bandcamp.com

Christ followers should measure all things by the standard of Jesus.Deuteronomy 18:15–18Moses is the prototypical prophet of God, surpassed only by Jesus Christ himself—who is the very Word of God made flesh. Christ followers must beware of false prophets, always prepared to “test the spirits” (1 John 4:1) by the unblemished standard of Jesus Christ.Instagram:https://www.instagram.com/legacychurchtx/Join us in person:https://legacychurchhutto.comIntro music used with permission:Dreamers by Mixaund | https://mixaund.bandcamp.com
Our close friends should build us up, not tear us down. They should help us, not harm us—whether emotionally, spiritually, physically, or ethically. We should choose our close friends on the basis of character and virtue, instead of simply on the basis of common interests, likability, agreeability, or natural chemistry. Our friends, particularly our closest friends, should inspire us to become better people, who contribute to our growth and development as moral and spiritual beings.Instagram:https://www.instagram.com/legacychurchtx/Join us in person:https://legacychurchhutto.comIntro music used with permission:Dreamers by Mixaund | https://mixaund.bandcamp.com

Faithfulness is the pathway to God’s kind of prosperity. Love is the primary motivational factor for the Christian, but healthy fear can protect us from all kinds of needless danger.Instagram:https://www.instagram.com/legacychurchtx/Join us in person:https://legacychurchhutto.comIntro music used with permission:Dreamers by Mixaund | https://mixaund.bandcamp.com
