What happens when we do everything we're supposed to do and things still don't work out the way we want? What happens when "mess" happens? Ever have one of those moments when you just want to cuss and fuss? I do. Check out what happened the other day. I had to practice resilience in real-time. Have you ever tried to set priorities when you were unclear on the expectations? Yeah, it's not fun.  If you're struggling with setting priorities, take a step back and ask yourself, "Do I have clarity?" If not, this podcast will help you explore opportunities to increase your clarity.
It's imperative that we recognize and mitigate the stress, pressure, and challenges people have to navigate to get through the workday.  People are tired of unnecessary conflict, ridiculous demands, and childish behaviors. People are tough, resilient, and capable, however; they're tired of dealing with foolishness.  It's time to cultivate a culture that supports, encourages, and uplifts team members.
Show Notes Let's take a trip together - we're going on a journey. There is a beginning and an end to a journey like there is a beginning and an end to life. One thing I learned early on in life is that when you're going on a journey, you need a map. And not only that, but you need to know Where are you now? Where are you going? It's not just enough to have a destination, you need to know where you're starting from, who is going with you, what role you play on the journey, Takeaways You need a personalized map. You can't take everyone with you. You can be a driver or a passenger. Celebrate short term wins. Rest areas serve a purpose. Change course when necessary. The journey of life never ends until it ends. Next Steps Need help navigating things in your life? Reach out to me today.
Show Notes In this episode, we're talking about gathering. We are currently practicing "physical distancing". I used to call it "social distancing", but a friend of mine helped me realize that we are physically apart but not socially apart. During this time, I'm realizing how important gathering is for me, especially physically gathering. Before all of this, I took gathering for granted - it was always there! Personally and professionally, gathering has centered around people physically gathering together, but we can gather without being physically present with one another. Now we are in a time where we have to be a bit more creative with how we gather. What's great is that we can gather without physically gathering and we need to be connecting with one another. Zoom, Google, Skype are wonderful tools we have at our disposal during these times for both personal and professional uses. Next Steps Need help navigating things in your life? Reach out to me today.
Show Notes In this episode, we'll be talking about relationships and the roles they have in our lives. Significant others, our partners, our parents, our children, our co-workers, our friends... people in our lives. Relationships are a breeding ground for lessons! As I was preparing for this episode, I was thinking about the diversity of people in my life and the contributions they've made to me in my life. The different roles relationships play in our lives: The Truth Teller The Confidant The Checker The Tag Team Partner The Master Teacher The Comedian The Fire Starter Take-Aways Nobody is self-made. We all needed somebody along the way. Relationships are work and the work is worth it. The more authentic you are, the more authentic your relationships will be.
