Hello and a very happy Halloween week to all our listeners out there. We wanted to end this month of harvest horror on a high note doing a film set at Halloween. That's right we watched Dark Harvest. This week, we wander into the haunted cornfields of the American South — and straight into the eerie world of early ’80s made-for-TV horror — with Dark Night of the Scarecrow (1981). To our knowledge, it’s one of the very first films to make a scarecrow the central monster of a horror story. Did we love it? Did Josh grow up watching it? And did it scare Cyndi half to death? Were we surprised at how bloody this film was while still being a dark fairy tale? Most importantly did it kill Cyndi? Join us to find out.
