Day 355 of 15 days to flatten the curve and day 57 of the militarization of the Capitol. Charges against rioters in Portland are being dropped.  Of the 1,000 people arrested about 80% of the charges have been dropped, including some of the most violent and some that attacked federal officers, but we better throw the book at the handful of idiots that stormed the Capitol in January. There are now 15 states that don't have a statewide mask mandate, but Gavin Newsom wants the people of California to wear two masks. Joe Biden has now gone longer than any president in 100 years without giving a solo press conference.  Huh, I wonder why. It has been 57 days since DC was militarized and the Capitol police have asked to keep the National Guard in DC even longer. Day 354 of 15 days to flatten the curve and day 56 of the militarization of the Capitol. HR1, the For the People's act, passed the House late last night.  It should be called the For the progressives Act.  This bill will federalize almost all election law, remove all voter ID laws, automatically register everyone to vote, require early voting, mandate mail-in voting, turn the federal election commission into a partisan Committee and so much more. We will never have a secure election again. Then, after passing the take-over of voting laws, the House also passed the George Floyd Justice in Policing Act, which puts hundreds of millions of dollars in unfunded liabilities on local police departments, effectively defunding the nation's police. Senator Ron Johnson plans to force the reading of the 600 page Wuhan Flu relief bill on the floor of the Senate today.  I'm confident that will be the first time many of them will have read it. Day 353 of 15 days to flatten the curve and day 55 of the militarization of the Capitol. 11 Senate Democrats want the next Wuhan Flu relief package to include recurring direct payments.  Next package?  The 6th one still hasn't passed and you're making another wish list already? Biden said yesterday that we are on track to have enough vaccines for every adult in America by the end of May.  So can we all follow the Texas example and open the country yet? 13 of the 25 illegal immigrants stacked inside an SUV like cordwood were killed yesterday when the SUV was hit by a semi-truck, but there is no crisis at the border. A 2019 bill requiring background checks for all firearm sales was reintroduced in the House.  The problem with this bill is that the vast majority of guns used in crimes are illegally purchased, so what’s the point? Day 352 of 15 days to flatten the curve There are now 3 Wuhan Flu vaccines, you got your 15 days to flatten the curve plus 337 more days, and 7-day average case counts are down 70%.  Hey, governor's, end the restrictions already! Governor Cuomo in New York has hired a defense attorney for the nursing home scandal.  Then yesterday, after his not so apologetic apology regarding alleged sexual harassment, a third woman has stepped forward with an accusation. The DHS secretary says there is no crisis at the southern border while reopening previously closed detention facilities and setting up temporary tent facilities. Bernie Sanders said that the Senate should ignore the parliamentarian and include the $15 minimum wage in the budget reconciliation vote on the $1.9 trillion spending bill. Day 340 of 15 days to flatten the curve A House committee renewed the debate over federal reparations for descendants of slavery yesterday.  If the federal government uses tax money to pay some sort of reparations people in states that never allowed slavery and families that were not in the US before 1865 should be outraged. The Committee for Responsible Federal Budget said that the House’s $1.9 trillion Wuhan Flu relief bill spends half of that money on non-pandemic issues.  Not to mention the billions of dollars from previous relief bills that are still unspent. Biden said on January 20th that the Israeli leader would be the first foreign leader he called.  Yesterday, almost a month and a dozen head-of-state calls later, Biden finally spoke to Prime Minister Netanyahu. China may be looking into stopping the export of rare earth minerals to the United States.  That could cripple the manufacturing of almost anything electric and electronic. Day 337 of 15 days to flatten the curve Yesterday, on the anniversary of the Parkland shooting President Biden called for "commonsense gun law reforms", but all of the gun laws that Biden has ever proposed do nothing but make it more difficult and more expensive for law-abiding citizens to own guns.  They don't deter criminals at all. At least three of the seven of the Republican Senators who voted to impeach former President Trump has faced backlash from their state parties, from verbal condemnation to official censure. There is a growing push for an investigative commission to look into the Capitol breach on January 6th.  The first thing I'd like to know is why Congress turned down both President Trump's offer of National Guard troops and the police Chief's repeated requests for assistance and who made those decisions. Tanks rolled into several cities and the internet was shut down in several cities in Myanmar yesterday in an effort to shut down pro-democracy protests. Day 334 of 15 days to flatten the curve Governor Cuomo’s top aide privately apologized to Democratic lawmakers for withholding the state’s nursing-home death toll from COVID-19 — telling them “we froze” out of fear.  Anyone who was paying attention already knew that.  The Cuomo administration refused to release those numbers for months.  Maybe he was just too busy accepting Emmy awards and promoting his book on leadership. The Biden administration is considering whether to impose domestic travel restrictions, including on Florida.  Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has a response. “restricting the right of Americans to travel freely throughout our country while allowing illegal aliens to pour across the southern border unmolested would be a ridiculous, but very damaging farce.” Trump's lawyers begin their impeachment defense arguments today.  Democrats, aware that a conviction is unlikely are now considering censure. Georgia's election board is referring 35 voter fraud cases for prosecution.  What? Election fraud is real?!? Day 333 of 15 days to flatten the curve Twitter said that Donald Trump is banned from their platform permanently, even if he runs for president again. Newly elected and installed Senator Warnock of Georgia is already under investigation.  The Georgia State Election Board voted unanimously to investigate voter registration misconduct.  How can that be so if election fraud doesn't exist? The Boss, Bruce Springsteen, was arrested for driving while intoxicated in his beloved New Jersey. Capitol Police are to hold a no-confidence vote on leadership today. Another House Democrat has proposed another gun control plan.  This time it was Reform Committee Chair Maloney. The CDC now recommends two masks, one cloth, and one surgical.  That makes sense, there are two vaccines so why wouldn't you wear two masks for a virus with over a 99% recovery rate? Governor Newsom of California said in a tweet that they are working hard to vaccinate the working class, except he used the word peasants.  Gavin, tell us how you really feel. Day 332 of 15 days to flatten the curve In one of his first acts as the new chairman of the Senate Energy Committee, Democratic Sen. Joe Manchin urged President Joe Biden to reconsider the cancellation of the Keystone XL Pipeline yesterday.  The key thing to remember from that headline is the DEMOCRATIC CHAIR OF THE ENERGY COMMITTEE. The Senate impeachment trial will continue today even though 44 senators voted that the proceeding was unconstitutional. The Biden administration aims to reopen over half of the schools nationwide for “some teaching” in person “at least one day a week” by day 100 of his presidency.  Just open the schools already. The NBA's Mavericks will no longer play the national anthem before their games.  I don't even know what to say here. The World Health Organization acknowledged that there is a virology lab in Wuhan, admitted that the lab works on weaponizing coronavirus, stipulates that Covid-19 started in Wuhan, but wants you to believe that these facts are just a string of coincidences.
