To do that, I love The Little Potato Company. They’re always my go-to because they are so delicious and so easy to prepare. You can make a ton of great side dishes with them so you can bring a little holiday happiness to regular family mealtimes. They have a whole line of ready-to-cook, bagged family-friendly Little Potatoes, and microwave-ready Little Potato kits. They come pre-washed, don’t need to be peeled, are small enough that they don’t need to be cut, and they cook in as little as five minutes. First, preheat the oven, pierce the potatoes, and microwave them for seven minutes. Next, cut them in half in a parchment lined baked dish, and in a small bowl mix cheese, cream, garlic powder, thyme, salt and pepper, then pour it over the potatoes. Bake for 10 minutes, then broil for three to five minutes, and you get this crispy on the outside, tender on the inside deliciousness. You can find Little Potatoes in the produce section. Ready, lift, take-off! But did you know that these outdoor activities can expose your dog to serious health risks? Here with the scoop on how to protect your dog through all seasons is Veterinarian and Merck Animal Health Partner, Dr. Natalie Marks. Dr. Marks says one of her main concerns that many dog owners don’t know about is Leptospirosis – or “Lepto”– which is an infectious bacteria that can cause serious illness in dogs, other animals, and even people since it can be transmitted between animals and humans. It’s spread through contact with the urine of infected animals – including rodents, livestock, and pets – or contaminated environments like water or soil. Many dog owners are surprised to learn that the spread of Lepto can happen even during a simple walk around the block. And while some dogs may not show signs of Lepto, others could develop mild or severe illness – including vomiting, lethargy, or even chronic kidney failure. The best way to protect your dog is through annual vaccination. She recommends talking to your vet about NOBIVAC® Lepto4 and NOBIVAC EDGE® Lepto4. Stick to grassy areas and opt for morning or evening walks when it’s cooler, if possible. Make sure to keep your pet hydrated and never leave them in a parked car, even for a few minutes. The temperature inside can skyrocket in seconds, and it can quickly become life-threatening. Lastly, don’t forget about parasites! Fleas and ticks are out in full force during this time of year. Make sure your dog is up to date on their flea and tick treatment, like BRAVECTO. Step 3 – Open and serve! -Remove the tray from the oven. Let the bag sit for 5 minutes, then unfold the scrunched end carefully with oven mitts. Use caution as hot steam will escape. Cut or tear the top of the bag to open and serve your meal straight out of the bag. Serve with a side of rice and a small salad to complete the meal. What’s a meal without dessert? The survey really highlights the mealtime struggles that many families face. Nearly 60% of parents say their child is a picky eater, and almost two out of three report that their kids refuse to eat veggies at least once a week. While kids often refuse food because of how it tastes, the survey found that smell, texture, and color also play an important role. Over half of parents say that their kid is texture-sensitive and one-third said that their kids won’t eat certain color foods. This means that getting your kids key nutrients they may need can be a challenge—for example, a nutrient like iron. Iron is one of the most common nutrient deficiencies in children in the U.S., and making sure kids get enough is important to their development.
