The new season is upon us and the LOVPod is back with the 2022/23 League One season preview! Wanderers have great ambitions to go and achieve promotion this year and Tom, James and Lee are here to dive into the new signings, pre-season and our expectations for the year ahead. Our opening game against Ipswich Town is nearly upon us and we also dedicate some time to talking through our predictions for the fixture, as well Town's credentials in the league. Cue a lot of time spent slagging off other team's prospects and bigging-up our own! Football is back and we couldn't more excited or terrified, so, as always, settle back, relax and enjoy episode 172 of the LOVPod! Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices
Hello everybody and welcome back to the Lion Of Vienna Suite podcast! I hope you all had a great Easter and I can imagine it was greatly improved by Bolton's best performance over the Bank Holiday for almost half a century. Wanderers beat Doncaster Rovers 2-1 away from home and returned to the Reebok to defeat Accrington Stanley 3-1 on Easter Monday and I am joined by James and Chris to dissect the good, the bad, and (certainly in the case of the Stanley game) the ugly from both matches. Even though the season is winding down to a mid-table finish for Bolton, it is great to see the boys still scrapping for points and our form can be taken as a very good omen for the 2022/23 League One season. It's also great to be back recording for you and we hope you are enjoying the show! So, as ever, sit back, relax, and enjoy episode 171 of the LOVPod! Learn more about your ad choices. The LOVPod is back! It's been a hell of a long time since we recorded (Antoni Sarcevic had only just left the club, for context) but we are back and raring to go as the 2021/22 season enters it's final knockings. As we recorded, Bolton had just drawn 1-1 away to rivals (in their minds at least) Wigan Athletic and the boys get stuck in to analyze the key talking points. We also take a look towards the future, discussing the areas in which Bolton need to improve for next season and our potential opponents in League 1 in 2022/23 once the dust has settled in the various promotion/relegation battles. We are very pleased to be back and we hope you are too, so as ever, sit back, relax, and enjoy episode 170 of the Lion of Vienna Suite Podcast! Learn more about your ad choices. Well it was quite the day yesterday wasn’t it? Everyone was plodding along nicely until about lunchtime when news broke that Bolton Wanderers captain Antoni Sarcevic was leaving us. That in itself was shocking enough in isolation but that he was leaving to drop however many divisions to play for STOCKPORT FLIPPIN COUNTY provided the biggest shock of all. With that being a done deal come mid afternoon, the LOV boys - James, Tom and Chris quickly convened for your listening pleasure to discuss the shocking turn of events and to offer their thoughts on where Wanderers go from here. We also briefly touch on both defeats since we last spoke, against Wigan Athletic and Plymouth Argyle but let’s face it, emergency podcasts are all about the issue of the day. It’s a mad mad mad world. Join us. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices
