This version of myself, present day, King AB, and Listen Sis were both created out of moments of sadness and anger. None of that would have happened had I not gone through what I went through; the heartbreak, the isolation, the depression, all of it. In my lowest moments I wanted revenge for the way I had been treated, but instead of wasting that energy on anger, bitterness or revenge, I channeled it into something positive, every fucking time --- on or off camera. Your life is a reflection of your standards. You are not falling apart, but you are falling into something different with a whole new capacity to be something great. When this whole path of redirection took me on a detour through hell, I was going to walk through like I owned the damn place. I decided I was going to evolve; I was going to close the doors that led to nowhere, and I was going to be un-fucking-stoppable. Your anxiety is lying to you. You are worthy, you are going to be okay, and you are enough… it is ridiculous how enough you are. It hurts like hell, but you have to realize that the wound is not your fault, but the healing is your responsibility. You either remain or you evolve. You’re allowed to cry; just don’t cry in one spot, cry and move forward. You deserve to know what it feels like to be more than okay. Regardless of how you feel, and what you are going through, you are always responsible for how you act and react. Sometimes you have to look at what you’re going through at face value, and have the balls to make a decision. I didn’t say plan, because sometimes it takes balls to have no plan,  but make a decision: remain or evolve. Welcome to the first episode of “Listen Sis." with King AB! I am your favorite healthcare professional that accidentally turned into a social media influencer and motivational speaker virtually overnight; apparently, I'm also some kind of abomination. I'm not exactly sure what I'm doing here, but what I can say is that I'm back on my bullsh*t. In early 2020, I started my "Listen Sis" and "Come to Jesus Meeting" series on my other various platforms, and by sharing my story of reinvention and redirection from a series of harrowing rejections, I have evolved into your cheerleader, the person who is always in your corner, and forever your hype-woman. I am always here to remind you what you're capable of, and not to tip-toe around everyone else while working towards your goals, whatever they may be. Whether it be through the hills or the valleys, you deserve all the things in this world that bring you joy, and I will never let you forget that.
