Stigma. It can be the difference between getting well and avoiding the help you need, especially when we’re talking about mental health. Even though the awareness of mental health needs are increasingly common, we still see people delay seeking treatment due to stigma: feelings of shame and disgrace that lead to concerns about being treated differently.
