Today on the show I talk with Mr. Papi himself and his son Jorge. They are co-owners of Papi’s Tacos! We talk trough their story starting back when Papi came to the United States in the early 90s. He joined Soby’s New South Cuisine in 1997 and since then they have both shined in the industry. I love stories like this, and their food is the best! Papi’s Tacos could be described as a “stationary taco truck”. The menu is short and simple. Tacos, tortas, salsas and dips are all made using the same authentic flavor combinations that “Papi” and his family grew up learning to use. In true Table 301 style, the taqueria offers fresh ingredients, handled with care and love. Today I talk with Dr. David Jolson. Movement is so important for the body and long-term health, and in this conversation Dr. Jolson breaks it down! He is at the top on the game when it comes to movement and performance for the body. We cover injury prevention, treating musculoskeletal injuries, teachings to prevent future issues and much more. Upstate Spine & Sport has some exciting things happening and he gives us the low down with what they have in the works! Dr. Jolson has a unique background, combining principles from the medical profession, chiropractic, physical therapy, and sports performance. He interned with his mentor and father, Dr. Scott Jolson, MD, prior sports medicine orthopedic surgeon for the Cincinnati Reds. This helped David understand the full spectrum of musculoskeletal care and led to his specialty in the hip, shoulder, and spine. After graduation, Dr. Jolson has continued his education by obtaining a growing list of additional certifications, diagnostic tools, and therapy techniques. He has presented injury prevention and biomechanical seminars throughout the country and for local athletic clubs and businesses. Today I have the privilege of bringing you the conversation I had with Angela Salem. Angela just retired after her 12th year of professional soccer. In her final season with the Portland Thorns FC, she led her team to first place in the regular season and earned a spot among the league’s Most Valuable Player candidates. She had established herself as the best defensive midfielder of the season. She is the type of player that made the NWSL possible. Angela is the kind of player I love. She is humble. She doesn’t care about personal awards, although her play on the field deserves a ton. She battled through failing leagues, injuries, and more to play the game she loves. She earned the love and respect from all the greats including Carli Lloyd and Lindsey Horan. Her career in the sport is not over. She has some exciting things on the horizon.
