"Pentecost is more than a religion."
In this season finale, Bree's dad - Michael - shares further insight on Pentecost. They share numerous nuggets not often talked about in mainstream society. Together, Bree and Michael piece together Passover and Pentecost, finding yet another special reason to celebrate this year's month of June! Let's celebrate!!
"I have PRIDE that Jesus conquered death." - Michael Roy
Reference Scriptures:
1 Corinthians 12
1 Corinthians 10:16
Acts 2:42
Matthew 26:27
Hebrews 11
Bree is schooled by special guest, Michael Roy, about the significance of Pentecost. Pentecost occurs 50 days after Passover, which is commonly known as Easter in the Western world. The first Saturday of June 2022 through the first Monday marks another remembrance of the gift Jesus gave for all to communicate with GOD which is the Holy Spirit.
The New Testament scripture, 1 Peter 1:3-25 captures the Fruit of the Spirit perfectly. As Peter addresses foreigners spread throughout nations of Asia, he is also addressing all the important fruit. Peter reminds us what Hebrews 11 says - remember, from a few episodes ago? Just incase not (wink) Hebrews 11 says all the people who earned a good reputation with the LORD did not see its fullness because more people are meant to receive the reward of salvation. Peter reminds the people to play the long game. Though, sometimes frustrating, painful, and a test of patience, the long game allows for the discipline necessary to receive the prize. How encouraging - especially during the times of uncertainty, loss, and back-to-back tests of patience!
Can we wait for the wrong things? Are we waiting for the right things? Is there purpose in waiting at all? These a few questions Bree explores as GOD reveals patience through ordinary experiences.
What does it mean to be patient? How can our patience grow? Google has a definition of patience, the Bible often connects it with emotions, elders have a slogan, and Bree has an opinion. What's your position?

The Fruit of Faithfulness is all about discovering how faithful GOD really is to us (humanity) and unlocking how we can display this same type of loyalty to one another. It's really quite amazing.
Key Scriptures for this lesson include:
1. Genesis 1: 26-27
2. John 1: 5; 41
3. Romans 5:1-11
4. Hebrews 11 (entire chapter)
Homework questions:
1. What is faith? Craft your understanding of faith using Hebrews chapter 11 verse 1.
2. What does it mean to be faithful? Let Hebrews chapter 11; Romans chapter 5 guide you.
Tip: I also like to use my native language (English) dictionary to compare to scripture. For example, I'd look up the word "faith" then compare it with text in the Bible to begin a foundational understanding.
3. Do we need to be perfect to have faith?
4. Do we need to be perfect to experience God’s faithfulness?
In the next study, the conversation of faithfulness continues, adding a layer of promise and repentance.
Today’s episode is in preparation for the next 4 weeks.
Starting Monday, May 9th conversation will be specific to the fruit of God’s Spirit found in Galatians 5:22-25. Galatians is a new testament Book of the Holy Bible. The only material necessary for this study is a Bible, to explore Scriptures. Below are suggestions of scriptures to reflect on and pray about as we discover God's good fruit!
