In today’s episode, I continue this mini-series with a topic that is very near and dear to my heart. Legacy has been a bit of an obsession in my family, and I will be talking about it in a different way for you today. We tend not to think about legacy until someone has died or until we are nearing death ourselves, but I want to share a life-changing perspective that will change everything for you. Attachments to bad things—or even good things—can become really unhealthy for us if we let them. Today, I’m going to talk about one of the biggest breakthroughs that I had regarding unhealthy attachments (and how they held me back just as much as addictions and pain avoidance), as well as how important it is to understand the attachments we have and work to not lose sight of ourselves. Everyone experiences loss at some point in their life. Grief and death are things that are, unfortunately, always with us. However, the loss of a child is unimaginable to so many, and something that no mother or father should ever have to go through. My sister Jade Cherwak went through such a loss with her son Blaise, inspiring so many in the way she was able to handle one of the most traumatic events that can happen to someone with grace and strength. So, in this episode, Jade will be sharing her story. This podcast is all about living fully, and my upcoming book (coming out February 8th!) dives into that, as well. So, in the next few weeks of this show leading up to my big release, I’ll be talking about some of the larger concepts from the book and some behind-the-scenes items that were left out. Today, I’m diving into my struggle with pain avoidance and how fear of pain keeps us from living fully. The first time I saw you was on Michael and Alex vlog. I just adored you from day 1. Seriously kindred spirits we are honey. This struck a nerve and I mean a deep one. After my parents died I became psychotic with grief and anxiety. I hit rock bottom girlfriend. A very special man in my life. We never dated but in my eyes he is perfect for me. I love him on a different level much much more than romantic because I honestly don't love him that way, yet. I can see it going there. He stirs something special in my soul. He would open up to me in ways where he let his guard down around me. I made him comfortable. What we had was special. Now he is gone from me. I don't know where he is. I miss him so much. I've done much work on myself, moved away and I'm still doing work on me. I'm not fully well yet but I'm making strides. I can't help thinking about him listening to what you and Kyle went through. I don't want another man in my life but him. Maybe we will not be a proper couple but he

Ok! I'm glad you shared this. I lost both parents 8 months apart from each other, very suddenly. my heart is shattered, my family is no more. i wanted to end my life I'm an only child and I have no idea what to do now. that happened 4 years ago. since their deaths, I lost a job that I enjoyed, lost all my money, credit crashes, no home, no car, living pillar to post with people who were not nice to me. was blamed and mistreated for having my emotions. lost friends who turned their backs on me during this crisis. Then I had a stroke. All of that was 18 months after their deaths. just recently in the last few months I finally accepted that I'm hurt, they are gone but I'm still alive I have to fight for myself. this spoke to me in such a deep deep way. I can't imagine having your kids snatched like that. sooooo unfair. I looked closely at JOY! I have slowly regained my JOY! I survived and I'm still here. I can't wait for your book. In my BEST Reba voice I'm A Survivor ❤❤❤

hmmmm I've given up on love. the man I thought I was going to marry devastated me by dating multiple women. in our faith dating and courtship is not a toy. I had no way to know he wasn't serious. I actually thought he was getting ready to propose. I just can't give myself up to another man again. so if you and Kyle have some words and advice I'll listen heart open wide. I think I should be by myself. maybe God wants me to be single so I can use my freedom for other missions.
