Description
Welcome to Living In Fear (A Horror Film Podcast) with Luis and Mia.
Our goal here is simply to have fun watching horror films and talking about them after. We prefer going in as blind as possible and we also love seeing what lower budgets and other countries have to offer; we love our subtitles here. Most of the films we will be watching for the first time. Some we’ll love, some we’ll hate but that’s okay; we just enjoy the experience!

A new Resident Evil movie?! A horror dark comedy?? Resident Evil (2026) is finally here. Luis didn’t love the first teaser but as another trailer came out and he heard more commentary from director Zach Cregger he went in more optimistic. Mia was just along for the ride. But now that it’s here, what are our final thoughts? Let's just say we may have some unpopular opinions about this movie.Podcast music by Scott Arc.
We love the poster for The Old Ways (2020). But the movie itself, not so much. We’re back with a little catch up of what we’ve been doing, including a bit of discussion on broadway shows (we’re theatre kids at heart). But first, a random tangent about hot dogs!Podcast music by Scott Arc.
It’s clear to see that we are obsessed with horror movies but did Obsession (2026) live up to the hype for us? We’re late to the party this time so it’s about time we finally saw this new film everyone’s been talking about. It's another film written and directed by a Youtuber and it has us wondering how many others get excited to hear that.Podcast music by Scott Arc.
Another A24 film and another film by a Youtuber so of course we had to see this one. Apparently, liminal spaces creep out Mia but not Luis, so does this movie work for both of us? We’ll get to that but first let’s catch up a little. We talk current books we’ve been reading and name which actor has a film catalogue we’d watch through in its entirety.Podcast music by Scott Arc.
We’re doing things a little bit differently this time and jumping right into our thoughts on Hokum (2026). Listen as we try to decipher what really happened and what was all nonsense (hokum).Podcast music by Scott Arc.
