The answer changes dramatically depending on where you buy.In this video, I break down real housing data from more than 800 homes priced between $550,000 and $600,000 across Metro Detroit to show where your money stretches the furthest — and where you’re paying a premium for location, lifestyle, walkability, schools, and amenities instead of square footage.In some communities, around $600K may get you roughly 1,300 to 1,800 square feet.
