Shohei Ohtani hit 22nd home run of the season a 455ft blast with a man aboard to give the Dodgers a 2-0 advantage. LA got 5 really solid innings from Landon Knack allowing just 2 hits. But they pulled him and replaced him with Ryan Yarbrough who hit 3 Angels with pitches scoring the first run for the Angels. The Halos would tie the game in the 6th on a fielders choice and win it in the 10th on a Taylor Ward single 3-2

The Los Angeles Dodgers beat the Rockies 5-3 on Thursday afternoon to complete the 3-1 series win in Colorado. They escaped without any issues, although Freddie Freeman needed oxygen in the 9th inning. Freeman, Shohei Ohtani, and Will Smith all homered, Teoscar Hernandez had three hits, and even Chris Taylor had two hits and two stolen bases. On the mound, Gavin Stone was dominant for five innings before running into a little trouble in the 6th. Shohei Ohtani lead off the game with his 21st HR. Will Smith homered in the 4th and Freddie Freeman went back to back to make it 5-0 the Bullpen would make it stand up for 5-3 win. Gavin Stone looked good for 5 innings striking out 7 things got a little shaky in the 6th but he would earn the win and he is now 8-2.

The Dodgers went from a big comeback on Tuesday to blowing a late lead on Wednesday. Bobby Miller made his return and he struggled a bit but did pitch into the 7th inning. In order to get Miller on the active roster, the Dodgers put Walker Buehler on the injured list. It appears the move is a chance for Buehler to figure out why he hasn't been able to be the pitcher he once was. Can he figure that out? Dodgers fell behind early again in Denver after Bobby Miller, making his first start since April, gave up a 3-run home run in the first. The Dodgers would answer back and take the lead in the 2nd on a 3-run double from  Shohei Ohtani and an rbi single off the bat of Freddie Freeman. Rockies tied it again in the 4th Dodgers broke the tie in the 5th on a Jason Heyward 2-run double. But an Andy Pages error cost the Dodgers 2 runs tieing the games at 6 and sac fly in the 9th won it for the Rockies.

It was an absolutely wild game at Coors Field that saw the Dodgers score SEVEN runs in the 9th inning to take the lead and get the win. Shohei Ohtani in the leadoff spot has been fruitful, the Dodgers may have benefitted from a questionable call, and the offense made up for Walker Buehler's tough start. There's not much to say about Buehler other than he still is struggling. Also on Tuesday, we learned of the passing of Willie Mays. It was a rough outing for Walker Buehler giving up 7 runs on 7 hits including 2 home runs in just 4 innings. The Dodgers kept grinding til the very end when they loaded the bases for Jason Hey ward in the 9th. He would make it a 1-run game with a grand slam off of the foul pole in right his 4th homer of the year. Then after questionable check swing call against the Rockies that would have ended the game, Teoscar Hernandez launched one to right center with 2 aboard that would give the Dodgers the lead.

It was a bittersweet weekend for the Dodgers as they took the series against the Royals but lost Mookie Betts and Yoshinobu Yamamoto to injury. Betts has a fractured hand and will not need surgery but his absence opens up another hole in the lineup. What can the Dodgers do to try and fix it? Yamamoto has a strained rotator cuff, and even though the Dodgers are better suited to handle him being out, it's a concern if the injury is deeper than expected. The Los Angeles Dodgers dropped another game to the Rangers to lose the series, with the offense again going dormant in a 3-1 loss. The only run came on an Andy Pages home run, and the Big 3 of Mookie Betts, Shohei Ohtani, and Freddie Freeman all struck out in the 8th inning with runners on first and third in their best scoring opportunity of the game.
