The Seattle Seahawks shocked the Los Angeles Rams on Thursday Night Football with a massive comeback win. Despite Sam Darnold's mistakes, the Seahawks fought back and got the job done to take the lead in the NFC West. The Rams certainly missed Davante Adams as they could not get offense going enough in the final moments to close the win. In the NFC North, the Green Bay Packers and Chicago Bears continue to battle and this weekend we get a rematch between the two foes. Both teams will need to show their depth as injuries will be a major factor in the matchup. Down in the south, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Carolina Panthers battle for the first time of the year in a game that could go a long way towards deciding the division, but it will likely be a track meet as both defenses have struggled. One of the best matchups of the week takes place in Denver as the Broncos host the Jacksonville Jaguars. This could be a playoff preview as both teams are surging and have excellent defenses to go along with explosive offenses. The AFC North is still in the balance as well, but the Pittsburgh Steelers have their fate in their hands. Problem is, they face a desperate Detroit Lions team coming off a loss to the Rams that will need avenged. The Steelers have a tendency to let down in these scenarios. Finally, the Baltimore Ravens are hoping to capitalize on the Steelers potential mistake as they host the New England Patriots. The Miami Dolphins took a tough loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers on Monday Night Football and it has led them to bench Tua Tagovialoa in favor of rookie Quinn Ewers. This likely spells the end of Tua in Miami and his next destination may be a place that currently has their starting quarterback still on the roster. We have three massive divisional matchups this week starting with Thursday Night Football where the Los Angeles Rams will play the Seattle Seahawks for the second time in 2025. The Denver Broncos keep winning games, but don't get the respect their record deserves. Regardless, when compared to the other top team in the AFC, the New England Patriots, the Broncos should be viewed as more of a real contender. Likewise, the Jacksonville Jaguars are more dangerous than the Chicago Bears as a threat due to Trevor Lawrence's level of play as of late. The Houston Texans defense is so tremendous that it makes them more of a contender for the big game than a team like the San Francisco 49ers, even if the 49ers have more winning experience. Josh Allen is hitting his stride and that makes the Buffalo Bills a scary team for the AFC to see and even though the Philadelphia Eagles are the defending champs, the Bills should get more faith. We will get a NFC South showdown this week with the Carolina Panthers hosting the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and even if Carolina is in control, the Bucs inspire more hope than them. The Kansas City Chiefs got confirmation of their worst fears on Monday as it was announced Patrick Mahomes does have a torn ACL. This news caps a disaster season for the Chiefs, but it also puts a lot of doubt into 2026. However, the Chiefs are still more likely to bounce back for a Super Bowl in 2026 as they have some folks you can trust while the Green Bay Packers, who lost Micah Parsons to an ACL as well, still do not. In more injury news, the Los Angeles Rams will be without Davante Adams for a few weeks it seems and while he should be back for the playoffs, this absolutely hurts the Rams chances of holding on to the top seed in the NFC with the Seattle Seahawks on deck.
