The Tampa Bay Rays lose to the Toronto Blue Jays again, this time 5-1. The Rays offense could not get the big hit in this one. Joe Boyle started for the Rays and struggled at times. He went 5 IP but he walked 3 batters and gave up 4 runs. Those runs started to come across in the 2nd inning. Where a Blue Jays RBI double capped off a 3 run inning to make it 3-0. After the Blue Jays added another run in the 5th, the Rays would finally get on the board. Jonathan Aranda hit a solo home run in the 6th inning to make it 4-1. He has now homered in both of his games since coming off the IL. That would be the only run the Rays could get as the offense could not threaten anymore. The Tampa Bay Rays blow another lead, losing to the Baltimore Orioles 6-5. The Rays offense was very good once again. Racking up 15 hits and 5 runs. They got it started in the 3rd inning. Christopher Morel ripped a 2 RBI double which led to a 3 run inning to give the Rays a 3-0 lead. The Rays would add on in the 6th inning after the Orioles scored 1 in the 3rd and 5th. Tristian Gray doubled to score a run and that was followed by a Bob Seymour single to give the Rays a 5-2 lead. That lead held until the 8th inning. The Orioles would score 3 runs in the inning to tie the game. Then on the first pitch of the 9th inning Kevin Kelly would allow a walk off homer to lose the game. The Tampa Bay Rays bounce back and beat the Baltimore Orioles 6-2. The Rays wasted no time getting a lead in this one. Brandon Lowe roped a RBI double in the first inning to give the Rays a 1-0 lead. The very next inning Hunter Fedducia would also double to give the Rays a 2-0 lead. Brandon Lowe would get his 2nd RBI of the night on a big home run to give the Rays a 3-0 lead in the 3rd. The Rays would break the game open in the 6th, 7th, and 8th. It started with a Tristian Gray RBI double then a Junior Caminero single to make it 5-0. Then Jake Mangum hit a moonshot homer to make it 6-0. The Orioles would add 2 in the 8th but that is as close as they would get. Shane Baz started for the Rays and was fantastic. He would go 4 IP not giving up any runs before handing it off to the bullpen to finish it off. The Tampa Bay Rays can't get anything going as they fall 6-0 to the Baltimore Orioles. After a long rain delay the Orioles got on the board in a hurry. They would score 2 runs in the 1st to make it 2-0. Then they would add another run in the 3rd to make it 3-0. Then by the 6th inning the Orioles broke it open and it was 6-0. The Rays offense could not get anything going today. They registered just 2 hits as Orioles starter Dean Kremer had his 3rd good start against the Rays this season. Ryan Pepiot made his 31st start of the season tonight and it was a short one. He went just 3 IP and 61 pitches allowing 3 runs and 3 strikeouts. The Tampa Bay Rays hang on to win their last home game of the year 7-3. The Rays pounced on Boston early with a 3 run first inning. That inning was highlighted by a 2 RBI double by Christopher Morel. There would be no score until the 4th inning when Boston would score on a RBI double to make it 3-1. Brandon Lowe would hit his 30th homer of the year in the 6th inning to make it 4-1. Boston would try to complete their comeback in the 7th inning. They would score 2 runs and get the tying run to 3rd with less than 2 outs. But Bryan Baker would shut it down to hold the lead. The Rays would get some much needed insurance in the bottom of the 8th. Christopher Morel would hit a 2 RBI single to make it a 6-3 lead. Jake Mangum would hit a sac fly to make it 7-3. Joe Boyle started for the Rays and was solid. He ended up going 4.1 IP only giving up 1 run and striking out 9.
