Self Trust - LDPF11

Self Trust - LDPF11

2019-08-2450:54

This episode focuses exclusively on an idea I've recently been confronted with: the concept of Self Trust. I've been going through a time of negativity and stress, as many of us currently face, and the idea of trusting myself has helped me to tackle my issues head-on. During this LDPF episode, I go over how this concept has helped to change my mindset and re-focus my issues into something much more manageable. I make reference to Jim Valvano's historic 1993 ESPYs speech quite a bit. Valvano challenges us to focus on three things: where we've been, where we're at, and where we want to be. He suggests there are three things we should all do everyday to live a fulfilling life: we should laugh, we should think, and we should have our emotions move us to tears.
On this episode of LDPF I discuss my recent bouts of mental health issues and how to overcome them. Please feel free and reach out to me on this subject if it's at all helpful to you or you wish to know more - codytravelphotos@gmail.com.Additionally, I'm looking to change the name of this podcast to something more suitable for it's content! Any ideas can be emailed to me using the previously mentioned gmail account.
