Description

Look To Him is a podcast about finding Christ in real life — in the wounds, the wreckage, the healing, and the hope.

Scott and Deb are a blended-family couple with 7 children and 16 grandchildren. Scott is a recovering alcoholic with 27 years of sobriety, and both Scott and Deb know what it feels like to carry life-wounds — some unfair, some self-inflicted, and some that left them feeling broken.

But through a growing relationship with God the Father and His Son, Jesus Christ, they have found strength, forgiveness, healing, and compensation — not once, but again and again. Their message is simple: calamity can be met with serenity when we keep turning back to Him.

Join Scott and Deb as they share honest conversations about faith, grace, recovery, family, pain, redemption, and the Savior who meets us where we are.

Look To Him — Finding Christ. Come as you are.

Hey! I'd love to hear your thoughts, send me a voice note. What happens when you know where to turn for peace, but still struggle to do it? In this deeply personal episode, Deb and Scott begin with a listener’s question about whether past mistakes can disqualify us from righteousness and return to the truth that we are redeemed not by our own righteousness, but by the righteousness of Jesus Christ, our Redeemer. From the honesty and praise of the Psalms to the story behind “Where Can I Turn for Peace?”, Scott opens up about his own recent physical, mental, and spiritual struggles and the difficulty of living the very message he teaches each week: Look To Him. Together, Scott and Deb explore surrender, recovery, grace, praise, and the simple but difficult invitation to stop trying to carry everything alone. Peace may not come because the struggle disappears, but because, in our reaching, Christ reaches back.
Hey! I'd love to hear your thoughts, send me a voice note.Nick’s story didn’t end when he found God. In this second conversation, he shares how Jesus Christ became personal to him—how old assumptions began to fall away, where resistance came from, and what changed when Jesus became more than a name or a belief. This is a candid conversation about grace, surrender, salvation, and why a real relationship with Christ matters. If you’ve ever wondered what it means to know Jesus—not just know about Him—this episode is for you.
Hey! I'd love to hear your thoughts, send me a voice note.Nick spent years trying to outrun the pain in his life until addiction took nearly everything—his marriage, his family, his home, and eventually any sense that there was a way back. At one point, he made a decision to stop fighting and simply “burn it all to the ground.” But in the wreckage, something unexpected happened: God met him there. In this raw and deeply personal conversation, Nick shares how recovery led him from simply knowing about God to developing a real relationship with Him—one built on surrender, honesty, grace, and daily connection. His story is a powerful reminder that we do not have to clean ourselves up before we come to God. Sometimes the first step is simply turning toward Him.
Hey! I'd love to hear your thoughts, send me a voice note.We spend so much of life trying to define ourselves by our roles, careers, relationships, successes, failures, and the opinions of others. But what if the deeper question isn’t “Who am I?” but “Whose am I?” In this episode, Scott and Deb explore what it means to find our deepest identity in belonging to God. Through Scripture, personal experiences, and the reminder that our worst moments don’t get naming rights over our lives, they invite us to stop looking outward for our worth and instead Look To Him—the One who already knows us, loves us, and calls us His. He call us His because WE ARE HIS!
Hey! I'd love to hear your thoughts, send me a voice note. What if miracles aren’t nearly as rare as we think—what if we’re simply missing them? In this episode, Scott and Deb explore what happens when we stop looking only for the spectacular and begin recognizing God in the everyday: a changed heart, unexpected strength, peace before the problem disappears, the right person at the right time, and even our own inadequacy placed in the hands of Jesus. Through scripture and personal experiences, they discover that gratitude can give us new eyes to see how often God has already been present. Maybe we don’t need more miracles to believe He is near. Maybe we simply need to Look To Him and recognize the miracles that have been there all along.
