Description

Are you looking for a podcast that talks about religion and theology that will make you think? Well this is the podcast for you. I like taking a deep dive into religion especially symbolism. My first series basically goes over what I believe but also poses some thought provoking questions to get you to think. My goal is to help the listener take a different look at religion in general. I love symbolism, history, and religion, but more importantly, I love bringing them all together. If you do too you're in the right place. Well here it is folks! The season finale is finished! It's a wrap on the whole season. I talk about how we can apply religion to our everyday lives and boil it down to a few simple principles. Thank you so much for being with me for these last few months. I've really enjoyed making these podcasts. And don't you worry, I'm not done yet. Season 2 is already in the making so keep an eye out for some teaser episodes. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/looking-into-theology/message Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/looking-into-theology/support

Sorry for not doing a full episode this week. I was debating on whether or not I wanted to do this weeks chapter and decided last minute that I didn't. It's on submission to secular authority and I felt that right now is just not the time to talk about that subject. The season finale will be coming out next week and I really look forward to that. Also be on the look out for my next season's teaser episode. I would love to get some feedback as I am trying to have most of my next season written before I start producing and releasing it. This weeks episode takes quite a controversial turn seeing as there is so much intolerance in our world right now, but that's why I think this topic is important. I talk about a few things in this episode. I talk about Religious liberty, tolerance of other people and their beliefs, and worship. If you want to see how all these things tie together then you're going to want to listen to this episode. Enjoy! --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/looking-into-theology/message Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/looking-into-theology/support
Howdy! This week's episode covers two different but related topics as well as wraps up article 10. In this episode I talk about the curse upon the Earth because of Adam's transgression which is to give context to the Earth's regeneration. I also talk about the resurrection of the body and how in the early days of Christianity it was the most famous and popular tenet. Enjoy! --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/looking-into-theology/message Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/looking-into-theology/support
This week's episode dives into the context of Christ's life during His first coming. I talk about why He was rejected by the Jews even though they were looking for a Messiah when He came. I also talk about His Second Coming and His Millennial Reign. I share some scripture that touch on His Second Coming and also what it will be like to live when He is King of Kings! I hope you enjoy! Lecture 19 - Zion

Hello and welcome to all of my new listeners, I know I have a lot. Thank you so much for you support. This week I continue on the 10th Article of Faith by going off a thread I started last week, namely, that of Zion or the New Jerusalem where the Lost Tribes of Israel will be gathered. I talk about the two distinct gathering places of Zion and Jerusalem. Which, when Christ comes to set up His Kingdom, these two cities on two separate hemispheres will become capitals of that Kingdom. I go into the biblical prophecies of Zion and Jerusalem and talk about their connection to each other and to us. Enjoy! Here comes the finale of last episode. It's all about how Israel is being gathered right now! I take a dive into ancient prophecies from the Bible and Book of Mormon as well as look at the fulfillment of some of those prophecies. I hope you enjoy and don't forget to check out my patreon.  I want to thank ZapSplat.com for the background music and sound effects I used in this episode.  --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/looking-into-theology/message Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/looking-into-theology/support
Get ready for a scripture filled episode on the dispersion of Israel. I jump into the history behind Israel and then look into the prophecies of the  Israelite's dispersion. I get into the Bible and the Book of Mormon as it is a record of a broken branch of Israel. This is just a bit of context for next week's episode. I hope you enjoy! In this episode I talk about revelation, ancient and modern. I want to show how important it is to have open communication with God. I also focus a lot on prophets roles with revelation. This week I get into the history of the Book of Mormon. It is structured much like last weeks episode. I talk about the history contained in the Book of Mormon itself as well as the history of how it came to us through Joseph Smith. This week is very unique as I talk about Spiritual Gifts and Miracles. I've had a few people ask me where these types of things fall when it comes to the Gospel. There are so many people "working by the Spirit" and if there is only one church then how can so many people create miracles? This week answers that question and much more. Hello everyone! I just wanted to say thank you and apologize for having so little content over the last couple of weeks. My wife and I are trying to move which is taking a lot of time. Thank you for your patience and expect more content soon! --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/looking-into-theology/message Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/looking-into-theology/support
Last week I left off talking about the importance of priesthood authority, especially when it comes to ordinances. So this week I want to expound in that thought and talk about why I think priesthood authority is so needed and what the scriptures have to say about it! --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/looking-into-theology/message Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/looking-into-theology/support
This episode continues off of the last three. This will wrap up the Fourth Article of Faith. I talked a little about this subject last week. In this episode I'm actually combining two chapters from James E. Talmage's "The Articles of Faith" because they both talk about the same subject. It is a longer episode with a lot in it, but I hope that this means you'll really pay attention. I think there is a lot to learn from this podcast. This episode is a continuation of the last one. It comes out of the same chapter as Faith but I wanted to split it up so that I could focus on each subject independently, though faith and repentance are very tied. The episode focuses on what repentance is and why it's important for us to understand. Thanks for listening and if you'd like to support me please head over to my Patreon at https://www.patreon.com/user?u=33216875. This week begins an amazing segment of this podcast. The next 4 episodes all focus on Article 4 of the Articles of Faith. It says, "We believe that the first principles and ordinances of the Gospel are: first, Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ; second, Repentance; third, Baptism by immersion for the remission of sins; fourth, Laying on of hands for the gift of the Holy Ghost." This first podcast talks about faith and why it's so necessary. I hope you enjoy and I always love your thoughts and feed back.
