This week we chat about a few things like Starship Troopers: Ultimate Bug Hunt and Thomas & Friends: Wonders of Sodor, but mostly it's an Open World-themed episode and Mick talks everyone to death about Crimson Desert for a solid hour. It's a wonder Lyle made it through - but whether you love it or hate it, it is a game that warrants discussion. For an hour. And he could have talked more.
Welcome back, everyone. It's a bit of a packed show this week, as Mick, Lyle, Kieran and Steve dig into videogame spin-offs and which ones stand out. And while they're on the subject, Kieran gets into the cosy new Pokémon spin-off Pokopia, and Mick has some opinions on Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection.
Hey all. This week Mick, Lyle, and Kieran discuss a huge slew of indie games from Steam Next Fest including The Eternal Life of Goldman and Cathedral: Crow's Curse. This week Mick, Kieran and Lyle have a good old chat about the recent SONY State of Play, including a breakdown of the new God of War Metroidvania, Sons of Sparta. They also discuss Silent Hill: Townfall, Castlevania: Belmont's Curse, and Project Windless. As for current games, this week Lyle has reviewed 3D platformer Demon Tides, Mick jumped into the beta test for NetEase's pirate lark, Sea of Remnants, and Kieran got all stealthy with everyone's favourite abrasive goblin wretch in Styx: Bl...
This week Mick, Steve, Chris and Lyle chat about what makes a game weird, from the developer behind it to the subject matter or sense of humour. They also find time to discuss what Mick thought of the Replaced demo, Steve's Reanimal review, Lyle's take on Grasshopper Manufacture's Romeo is a Dead Man, and Chris's time spent with the Yakuza Kiwami 3 remake.
This week on Loot Level Chat, Mick, Steve, Lyle, and Kieran discuss the merits of massive games. From Final Fantasy VII to Persona 5 Royal, they have a good old chinwag about their favourite 100-hour games. They also discuss Nioh 3, which Mick reviewed, and Edmund McMillen's Mewgenics, which has Lyle really excited about cat poo. You heard it here first!
This week Mick, Steve, Lyle, and Kieran chat about Code Vein 2, Cairn, Escape from Ever After, and then have a bit of a chinwag about their favourite choice of cosy or comfort games to see them through the January lull.
Mick, Steve and Kieran are back this week to talk about some upcoming games and try to guess their eventual Metacritic score. Amongst the wild speculations are predictions for Witchbrook, Resident Evil: Requiem, Saros, and GTA6!

Kieran makes his full podcast debut (you can hear him earlier on an exclusive Patreon only podcast) to talk about Rue Valley, a game inspired by Disco Elysium, and it has Lyle, Steve, and Adam all intrigued. Speaking of intrigue, what is the deal with Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment. Is it cannon? It is, right? Lyle is playing this meaty experience. And speaking of meaty, the hunky Steve(n) has lost his mind playing Lumines Arise, so let's chat about that, too. Note: we'll be start...
On this episode of Loot Level Chat, it's time to talk about Ball x Pit, and hey, what's in a name? We find out as Lyle, Steve, and Adam discuss what that "x" means, and why. Oh, and they talk about the game itself, of course, too. Steve has been living his best Burnout-life as he investigates Wreckreation, and explains to Adam and Lyle what it's all about. Meanwhile both Lyle and Adam have finished Pokemon Legends: Z-A and are rather enamoured with the game, hoping the future for Pokemon fans...
It's a two person podcast this episode, with Adam and Lyle here to bring some seriously positive vibes. Both of the duo have been playing Super Mario Galaxy 1+2, and despite the first game in the collection having been previously available on Switch, it actually has some new changes that are really interesting. Super Mario Galaxy 2, of course, is a first-time thing for Nintendo Switch: was it worth the wait? Meanwhile, the word "perfect" is used when describing Hades II. It's not a word we li...
Ghost of Yotei is a game you might of heard of? Well, Mick has been playing it and on this episode of the podcast has plenty to say about it. Does it feel like a bit step up from the hugely popular Ghost of Tsushima? Do we get to ride the wolf like a horse? These questions will be answered, because of course they will. Lyle has been playing Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, though, and spoilers, but he kinda prefers it to Mario Kart World. It's hard not to compare the two, really, but CrossWorlds ha...
Borderlands 4 is here, and so is Mick to explain to Adam, Steve, and Lyle how great it is on this week's episode of the Loot Level Chill podcast. Adam is a huge fan and can't wait to get stuck in to Borderlands 4, but Mick has played it for his review and the podcast is largely about that for a good chunk. How's the story; the mechanics; the performance? And also, why was review access PC only? For those of you sick of hearing about Hollow Knight: Silksong, well, we're sorry, but this week's ...
