Armed with her bachelor's degree, she began her Master’s program at Belhaven University while teaching 6th and 7th grade Language Arts at Chastain Middle School. Ms. Washington served as the head coach of the Girl’s Basketball team and assistant coach of the Volleyball team. But after her second year of teaching in the Jackson Public School District and interning with the Committee on Homeland Security in Washington, D.C., she decided to pursue her dreams. She was accepted to The University of Mississippi School of Law in Oxford, MS in 2011. While there she served as a chairman in the Black Law Student Association, was a member of the Dean’s Leadership Council, and held as the winner and semi-finalist in several Moot Court and Trial Advocacy Competitions.  After law school, she began working at Sparkman, Zummach, & Perry, then served as a law clerk in the Sixth Circuit Court Judicial District; and thereafter, worked at Perry Griffin, P.C. in Southaven, Mississippi. In January 2018, she fulfilled her lifelong dream of starting her own law firm, The Washington Law Firm, PLLC in Southaven, MS. She has had the opportunity to travel to France, Spain, Mexico, England, and the Netherlands while studying Spanish and International Law. Her dreams are to finish writing her first book and use her talents to uplift those who struggle to uplift themselves. She’s currently a member of All Nations Worship Assembly (ANWA) in Memphis, TN under the leadership of Pastor Brandon Clack.   She says: “Sometimes God will force you into an uncomfortable place to reach the next phase of your life. Our guest today is Mayor Lee Harris. Mayor Lee Harris shares his plan, purpose and passion for decreasing juvenile delinquency in Memphis/Shelby County. In 2014, Lee Harris was elected to the State Senate, becoming the youngest senator in the state of Tennessee. Other Democratic senators selected him as Senate Minority Leader, making him the first African American leader of the state senate in Tennessee history. Among his legislative initiatives, he has pushed for treatment coverage for persons with sickle cell, a condition that plagues communities across the state; advocated for new laws to protect children from abuse; fought for expansion of recycling and environmentally-friendly practices in state government; championed new laws to reform our criminal justice system; helped create system to ensure immediate public notification if lead is found in drinking water; and worked to expand community college scholarships for students with learning disabilities.  Harris served on the Memphis City Council. Among other accomplishments, Harris was a leader in the fight for a new citywide non-discrimination ordinance. He led the charge to preserve and redevelop city museums and historic structures in Victorian Village, one of the city’s oldest neighborhoods.  Senator Harris is a tenured full professor of law at the University of Memphis Law School. He is believed to be the only African-American to achieve that rank in the history of the Law School and he is the inaugural holder of the Federal Express Professorship in Law. He is the author of two textbooks. He earned his undergraduate degree from Morehouse and his law degree from Yale.

Upon her arrival to Los Angeles, California in 2000, Ms. White worked as a talent manager before being introduced to the world of film production. Soon thereafter, she co-produced the Showtime Network’s Trilogy of TV short films such as, “Dense,” which highlighted actress, Vanessa Williams’ directorial debut; “The Great Commission,” which was actor, Rockmond Dunbar’s premiere as a director; as well as “Violation,” directed by actor, Darrin DeWitt Henson. Currently, Ms. White ilatest movie, the faith-based film, “A Question of Faith,” which stars Richard T. Jones, Kim Fields, C. Thomas Howell, T.C. Stallings Jaci Velasquez, Renee O’Connor and GregAlan Williams, was released theatrically via Pure Flix Entertainment on September 29, 2017. Ms. White was the first African American woman to produce a faith based film theatrically and “A Question of Faith” was the first faith-based film to screen for members of Congress on Capitol Hill. She was featured and interviewed on such networks as Fox News, TBN, ABC, CBN and many more discussing this groundbreaking film.
Our guest is Richard Boddington is a film director, writer, editor, cinematographer and television producer. His feature films include Dark Reprieve (2008) and the family comedy film, The Dogfather (2010). Boddington’s third feature film, Against the Wild (2014), was nominated for an Emmy Award, achieved worldwide distribution and received the Director's Choice Grand Prize at the 2013 Rhode Island International Film Festival. In May 2015 Boddington filmed Against the Wild 2: Survive the Serengeti in South Africa. The film is a sequel to Against the Wild and was released into US theatres on 2016. It went on to air on many of the world's biggest broadcasters, including TF1 in France, STARZ in the USA, Antenna 3 in Spain, and Channel 5 in the UK. His most recent project, Phoenix Wilder: And The Great Elephant Adventure, releases nationwide on 700+ theatres in the USA on April 16th, 2018. When Phoenix Wilder, a 13-year-old orphaned American boy, receives word that he is to live with his only surviving relative, his Aunt Sarah who lives in Africa with her husband, “Uncle Jack,” Phoenix quickly falls in love with his new surroundings. However, while out on safari with his uncle, Phoenix becomes lost from the rest of the party and must quickly learn to survive in the African bush. As the search for Phoenix continues, the boy becomes fast friends with a giant bull elephant he was able to free from a trap. Phoenix names the elephant Indlovu, and as they begin to bond, Phoenix decides to try to stop the band of poachers who prey on African elephants.
