Special Conversation with Manuel Venezuela DES MOINES, MARCH 26, 2019 - Manuel Venezuela is a Marine Veteran who served "in country" during the Vietnam War. He also has dual citizenship in the United States and shares his veterans status with his brother. Unbelievably, both of the Venezuela brothers are slated for deportation, under the Trump administration. Manuel pulled his elaborately decorated RV into West Des Moines, Iowa on March 25th in hopes that he can capture the attention of some Democratic Presidential hopefuls as he makes his trek across the country, ultimately landing in Washington, DC. Manuel plans to meet with Elizabeth Warren and Julian Castro while in the area but is eager to take his plight to all the Democratic candidates. Mr. Venezuela believes strongly that non-citizens who served in the United States Military should not be deported. "I have been in the United States since 1955 and my mother was a native born American." He said. "Unlike President Trump, I served honorably in the United States Marines during Vietnam. Deporting service members after they risked their lives for our country is immoral. I hope all the Democratic candidates agree and vow to halt this human rights atrocity." He concluded. Mr. Venezuela will be in the Des Moines area until Saturday, March 30th and is available to media outlets for interviews.
