Due to jobs, kids, TV, the Internet, hobbies, and home and family responsibilities, the average married couple spends just four minutes a day alone focused on just eachother. This is pretty crazy to think about! Marriage can be amazing but like any relationship, it can also be very challenging. Divorce is all too common but Holly & Mischa feel that when it comes to their marriages, divorce isn’t an option (as naive as that probably sounds to some of you all). Aside from the stress of it, divorce can also be expensive and it takes an average of 12 months to finalize! Join Holly & Mischa as they discuss the seven year itch, couples sleeping in separate bedrooms, and so much more exciting marriage and divorce topics!
Although most people know the divorce rate in the U.S. is around 50%, many people can’t help themselves from saying “I do”. There are plenty of reasons why people still practice this age-old tradition; whether it be for love, convenience (whatever that means), tax/financial purposes, or even pregnancy (we’ve all heard about shotgun weddings). Although Holly was a child of divorce, she has been happily married for five and a half years. And Mischa, who is a soon-to-be bride, hopes to follow in her parents’ footsteps since they had a beautiful 30+ year marriage. By now you should know that Holly and Mischa are both hopeless romantics, but they’re not disillusioned from the realities of marriage and divorce. Join these two brides as they vow to give you an amazing episode about everything from arranged marriage to the infamous TV show “The Bachelorette”. And make sure you come back next week for part II, where they dive more into the realms of divorce.
These days, being politically correct is becoming more important than ever. Some polled groups (like women and democrats) are mostly all for it while others (the Latinx community and men) tend to be a little less concerned with being PC. Regardless, cancel culture is a powerful force that’s attacked celebrities like Chrissy Teigen, Kevin Hart, Mel Gibson, and so many more. Accountability and political correctness are important tools that are often used for good but at what point does someone deserve a second chance or forgiveness? Maybe forgiveness should be based on the severity of the offense or how long ago it happened or how good the public apology letter was. Or maybe there are no second chances when you’re in the limelight. Join Holly and Mischa as they attempt to tackle some tricky topics from movies removed from Disney+ to stand up comedy to controversial words and phrases. Set your judgment aside and open your minds as you listen to this bold, new episode!

Everyone has had a toxic person in their life. In fact, 85% of women and 75% of men report having a toxic friend at some point in their lives. In this episode, Holly & Mischa talk about toxic relationships, toxic self-criticism and even toxic masculinity (we're calling you out, Candace Owens). Did you know that toxic masculinity in America is actually contributing towards men's shorter life expectancy compared to women...crazy, right?? And of course, the Loud & Louder ladies provide helpful tips on how to recognize and avoid toxic people, and how to change toxic self-criticism to constructive self-criticism. Get ready to check some toxic people in your life after listening to this episode!
Research shows that men experience orgasms during sex more often than women do (womp womp). But just because the female orgasm may be more challenging to achieve doesn’t mean it doesn’t deserve love and attention too! If you’re like Mischa, you’re one of the lucky few who is able to achieve the big “O” by penetration alone. If you’re like Holly, maybe your path to pleasure is a little more challenging. Either way, the female orgasm is possible to achieve for nearly all women so even if you’re an adult who hasn’t experienced one yet, don’t give up hope! Join the Loud and Louder duo as they discuss research along with their personal obstacles and wins all related to the female orgasm! And like last week, Holly & Mischa have included some fun new segments!
It’s likely that you either think Beyoncé is an amazingly talented queen (which is correct) or you think she’s super overrated (which is just wrong). From Hawaiian pizza to white girls with braids, Holly & Mischa cover a wide variety of topics that people tend to have strong opinions about. When the majority of the population feels a particular way about something, it’s sometimes hard to go against the grain (hence the concept of “Group Think”) but that’s exactly what Holly & Mischa do in this episode! Enjoy this playfully controversial episode where Holly & Mischa also test out some fun, new segments!
When it comes to lying, are you a saint or a sinner who follows the King of Lies (aka Satan)? Just kidding – these ladies know that there are many instances where lying is justified, like saying you have a boyfriend when you don’t so that a creep will leave you alone. Or telling you mom that your face is red because you drank a glass of wine and not because you just had sex. As children, “Mischievous Mischa” would often tell white lies while “Holy Holly” would be brutally honest to a fault. In this episode, the girls discuss main reasons for lying, how to pinpoint a liar, and touch on the traits of a pathological liar. This is a great episode (and that ain’t no lie!) so give it a listen!
These days, some people say pets are the new kids and plants are the new pets. Maybe it’s because now, more than ever, people are waiting longer to have kids. Whether you want five babies or have zero interest in having kids at all, the good news is that the decision is all up to you. For Mischa, she is already starting her family planning while Holly needs a couple more years to figure it all out. In this episode, this duo chats about the option to foster and/or adopt (Holly’s considering this!), the months of pregnancy (Mischa will definitely have crazy food cravings!) the fears and expectations of labor, and briefly touch on the realities of infertility and miscarriages. So grab a seat and have a listen, baby. And a friendly (stern) reminder, do not ask people when they are having kids OR if they are currently pregnant. It’s not a good look! Mind yo’ business!
Dogs and lizards and flying squirrels, oh my! Whether you are obsessed with animals like Holly or you only love your own pet like Mischa, this episode will provide you with some fun facts and stories all about pets! Did you know stray dogs in Russia have learned the subway system and take trains every day to the point where they know which stop they need to get off at to find food?! Holly & Mischa also found some great stories of cats and dogs saving their humans from a house fire, gas leak, and even a wild cougar! Pets can be exhausting (and expensive) but they sure are entertaining! Join these party animals and snuggle up to your own pet (or borrow a friend’s) while you listen to this feel-good episode!
Holly & Mischa are breaking up your week with their first bonus episode - ayyyyyy! In this episode, the ladies read a variety of stories submitted by their amazing listeners - all about awkward, funny and straight-up BAD dates. And they also were lucky enough to receive a quarantine love story (swoon)! Grab the popcorn as they spill the tea and give commentary on these wild stories!
Have you ever died in your dreams? Holly has. In fact, she was murdered by her mother but it was an act of love (complicated, we know). Dreams can be exciting, scary, sad, and even super sexy. From sleep paralysis to lucid dreaming, Holly & Mischa cover it all. Mischa defines most of her “nightmares” as being exciting adventures while Holly feels nothing but terror during her nightmares. Maybe you’re like Mischa and you sometimes laugh or talk out loud while dreaming (wow, even while sleeping she never shuts up) or you’re like Holly and you cry real tears that wake you up (we’re noticing a dark pattern with her….). Take your melatonin and have your dream journal nearby while listening to this non-snoozefest of an episode!
Remember when your mom scolded you for burping at the dinner table? Well, if you go to China, not only is belching allowed but it is encouraged after enjoying a delicious meal. From tea time to Holly & Mischa’s thoughts on chivalry, these ladies go through it all when it comes to manners & etiquette. Due to Holly & Mischa’s mothers and their nearly identical views on how to be “proper ladies”, this episode might be one of the only ones where Holly & Mischa actually relate regarding their upbringing! In this episode these pish posh dames chit chat about female students fighting for the right to wear pants (in 2019!) and Mischa also schools Holly on some black culture etiquette. Mind your P’s & Q’s while listening to L&L!
Have you ever felt weird about how fascinated you are with people that you don’t even know, like celebrities or serial killers? Are you borderline...obsessed?? In this episode, Holly & Mischa obsessively discuss everything from TV shows that have a cult following to the various types of stalkers (yep, that’s a thing!). You probably won’t be surprised that the one obsession Holly & Mischa have in common is for their significant others...and they may self-diagnose themselves with obsessive love disorder (yep, that’s also a thing!). So sit back and take a listen to this week’s episode - and trust, you will be even more obsessed with Holly & Mischa then you already are.
As quarantine life (hopefully) comes to an end soon, we decided to reflect on the past year of craziness. Remember when there were fist fights at the nearest Target for toilet paper and disinfectant wipes? Or how about when there was a flour shortage due to everyone baking away their stress? After being home alone on a regular basis, Holly is just now learning to sit in her feelings and work through the hard times rather than using busyness as a distraction. And for Mischa, once she noticed that she was getting paid more via pandemic unemployment benefits than when she was actually employed and busting her ass, she knows her worth and will never settle for less. While this year has had a lot of ups and downs, at least one great thing came out of it - your favorite podcast! Throw on your pandemic uniform (yoga pants and sweatshirts, duh), turn off that show you’ve been binging and listen to Holly & Mischa reflect on a year that will go down in history!
