In Uganda, like in most countries in Africa, marijuana is illegal, however , that hasn't stopped the public from using it recreationally and medicinally. In this episode a herbalist (King) and Isharaza (Addiction Treatment Specialist) discuss marijuana use in Uganda, it's benefits and ills. Also discussed is the decriminalization & regulation of weed, increased use among younger people and addiction.
The topic of money between couples is often tricky . In an African setting where there is a shift in the dynamic where women are starting to earn as much as men, and in a few cases, more, there are unique challenges & perspectives between couples. On this episode Martin and Rosette join Melanie to discuss how couples grapple with the issues of money. They delve into the topics of men being out earned by their partners, the pressure men in Uganda and Africa feel, who is supposed to take on the bulk of bills, how money is discussed when dating, etc
