MLC School Opera House Concert 2005

Every two years, MLC School holds a concert at the iconic Sydney Opera House. As you can hear, these are no ordinary school concerts. Representative of a deep and wide ranging music program, every student from Year 3 to Year 12 participates, be it in a choir, instrumental ensemble or as a soloist. The repertoire performed is not music for children or simplified versions of classics, it is original and core concert repertoire from the last 500 years of western and world music together with a number of new exciting commissions designed to stretch the students to and beyond any expectations. The 2009 concert was the subject of the award winning documentary "Mrs Carey's Concert", and as a result this concert series is now known worldwide and exclusively available on iTunesU.
