Welcome to the MMA Origin Stories Podcast.
Each Episode we have a new guest who shares their journey through the ever changing landscape of MMA, from the early days in sports halls to the modern day stadiums and everything in between.
Hosted by Michael Williams, an international MMA and combat sports official. Michael trained in Boxing and Karate in his youth but started his journey in MMA around the turn of the millennium, before moving into officiating in 2011 after realising competing in MMA wasn’t going to be a reality due to injuries and other commitments outside of the sport.

In what is the final Episode of the MMA Origin Stories Podcast, I am joined by Former MMA Fighter and Grappling Wizard, Leigh Remedios. Leigh takes us through how he got involved in Martial Arts, then his transition to MMA and how he feels this saved him from following a darker path through life. From youth Tearaway to Multiple Blackbelt martial artist, this is the story of a true pioneer of the sport.

This episode I am joined by one of the most sought after photographers in MMA, Marc Moggridge.
Marc takes us through how he served his apprenticeship as a snapper, giving some great tips for current and fledgling photographers alike. He then tells us the story of how he fell into MMA photography after finding 'the loudest person at the wedding' and how that led to starting at a show that most will only dream of working on, a few stories from his time with the 'Addicted' team before becoming a regular on some of the best shows the UK has to offer, as well as being a go to guy for IMMAF.
