Description

With seven kids between the two of them, Cat & Nat know just how lonely and isolating motherhood can be. So, they set out on a mission to bring women and moms together by hosting dinner parties and events - with wine and without babies. The events garnered huge success in Toronto and were talked about all over, leading Cat & Nat to take things to the next level and break into the online world to reach more people and connect women and moms everywhere.Cat & Nat's rapidly-exploding community of like-minded moms tune in every day to watch them rewrite the paradigm of “the perfect mom.” With honesty and humor, Cat & Nat dismantle the unrealistic portrayals of motherhood that are often presented throughout social and traditional medias. Through their virally famous video series #MOMTRUTHS, which have garnered hundreds of millions of views around the world, and their daily Facebook Live show, Cat & Nat share everything moms think but are too afraid to talk about.Join them in Season 1 as they bring it back to the beginning and walk you through how they accidentally became mom millionaires by just being themselves.

Full disclosure, we kinda effed up this podcast, but we wanted to release it because we're all about sharing the real, the raw and the completely imperfect with you. In this episode, we tackle the negative feedback we've received while on tour and explain how we handle it. We talk about the difference between feedback and criticism and between problem finders versus problem solvers. Then we jump into what kind of traits we want our kids to have and offer some life advice about choosing to be happy. When you're the one trying to plan date night, and packing the lunches, and managing homework, and tutoring, and sleepovers, and the kids frustrations, and your partners frustrations, and trying to work yourself, etc etc......it's a LOT. This episode is all about the weight that most women carry that still goes unacknowledged in most families.  Maybe inspired by Father's Day....For more #MOMTRUTHS head to catandnat.ca to see new videos, get the book, or listen to more podcast episodes!  See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

Well for the first time...maybe ever...we didn't go off the rails this episode. We talk lots about our business and social interactions on our platforms. Social media is like a mutual relationship. We are here for you, and you are here for us. But what exactly are we here for? What is our mission? We break it all down in this podcast. For tickets to our live show head over to catandnat.ca/tour or to get a copy of your "Mom Truths" book head over to catandnat.ca/book  See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.
This week's episode starts off with some serious chats about being relentless and fearless in business and life (and raising kids with the same characteristics), and then it naturally moves into stories about the best night out in Chicago, no-phone policies and eye- f*cking.  Turning insightful conversations into sex talk, it's what we do best over here!To see our #MOMTRUTHS live head to catandnat.ca/tour or follow along on insta-stories at instagram.com/catandnat  See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.
This week's episode is all about sharing positive and consistent messages with your partner and kids in order to turn the mom guilt into pride. But of course we experience a few interruptions from flying squirrels and dick talk...Come join the conversation live on tour! Head to catandnat.ca/tour to find out what cities we're in next and follow us over on InstagramTOP QUOTES from this episode:"There are 700 different ways to parent, but the one you choose will be the right one. As long as you believe it, your kids will too, because they trust you and look at you to be the leader. ""That's why it's our job as parents to teach our kids to be okay, and to be happy, with life and the situations we're in. That's why it's our job to flip the script and squash the guilt and shame that we, as moms, carry around with us every day.""How we describe our job and our unique situation to our kids is opening up the conversation and bringing light to how all moms do it differently. If you sit there and you beat yourself up, talk negatively about yourself and apologize for going to work, your kids will think it's a bad thing. Instead, we choose to look at our situation and think that it's amazing, and we say out loud that it's amazing, so that our kids believe the same."  See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.
No matter what anyone says, we will always deliver the message we're trying to convey in the only way we know how - the message of acceptance, and that "you are enough". And one thing about us is that we aren't afraid of changing things when they don't feel right. We know we don't know everything. We're not afraid of continuing to search for what feels right if we're exploring new things and land somewhere that doesn't feel secure. Anywhoo....that's a whole lot of deep conversation but don't worry, we still manage to talk about sex in this one. To see the tour live in your city come to www.catandnat.ca/tour   See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.
We want to ensure we're not just teaching our kids to be kind but also teaching them that keeping their voice and being true to themselves is just as important as being kind.  Being resilient is at the core of both who we want them to be and what it takes to be an entrepreneur. Looking for the best Mother's Day gift?  We just released a limited amount of signed book + game bundles over at www.momtruthsgame.com   See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.
As two women tackling a heck of a lot on a daily basis between our business and our families, we got to a point where we realized we are just done being nice to individuals before we've been nice to ourselves.  Don't compromise yourself to try and be nice to someone else because that's when people get exhausted and defeated.  Stay true to yourself and you'll be much better off. Oh, and swallow your balls.....that's an inside joke for anyone who listens to the full episode.Looking for the best Mother's Day gift?  We just released a limited amount of signed book + game bundles over at www.momtruthsgame.com   See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.
For any of you who have followed us for a while you'd know that we've been adamant about tackling a Cat & Nat cruise as our next business move. What would a Cat & Nat cruise look like?  We let our imaginations take over in this one and never say never because it might just happen one day. To check out #MOMTRUTHS Live in your city, head to www.catandnat.ca/tour or to pick up your copy of our #1 Bestselling Book head to www.catandnat.ca/book  See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.
Do you think we could actually get through an entire episode being serious about entrepreneurship? Well, we didn't, BUT we did talk a lot about the types of jobs we've had and what our motivations behind them were.  Lots of entrepreneur talk, but also the occasional masturbation discussion. Want to hear us podcast live?  We'll be coming to a city near you in 2019.  Head to catandnat.ca/tour to find out where we'll be coming next! Can't make it to a show? We have a "Mom Truths" book out now anywhere books are sold or if you're into listening to these podcasts, try the audiobook where we read the book ourselves!  See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.
It's so rewarding to us to hire other women to help us grow this community of women. We understand each others pressures.  We understand each other's work ethic. Women will communicate when they have something to say. And we understand each other's circumstances, without judgement. We're all about it, and we tell you a little bit about our approach in this episode. We also get into what makes us "good moms"....whatever that means. Plus a phone call from Nat's Mom as we tell her we made #1 on the Globe and Mail Bestsellers List again.  To get the book head over to catandnat.ca/book  See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.
We're coming atcha LIVE from the road, but still trying to figure out how to incorporate live tour footage into the podcast so for this one we'll give you the recap of one "ballsy" conversation. Also filling you in on our week of "rejections" and how we tackled that this past week. If you want to catch us on tour this year head over to catandnat.ca/tour to see where we're coming next! Okay ya'll, coming off of one of the most hectic weeks we've had in a while....our book launch week! Listen in as we give you the low down on how the week really went. We've committed to always telling you the truth so here it is. P.S- if you haven't got the book yet, you can get it at www.catandnat.ca/bookAnd tune in to next week when we start Season 3 which will go through each chapter of the book LIVE from the #MOMTRUTHS tour. Get your copy so you can follow along! We also posted all about Summerfresh this morning and how they sent us a bunch of snacks for the kids while we're on tour.  How amazing is that? Nat is all about the Cauliflower Nachos.  Check out all the recipes over on summerfresh.com  See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.
So we set out to make this podcast about our book coming out today but kinda went off the rails and ended up talking about some pretty explicit shenanigans. So instead, listen to the podcast and then go buy our book for more off the rails conversation. Have you bought our new book "Mom Truths" yet?  It's out TODAY!!! Buy it online over at catandnat.ca/book or anywhere books are sold. We also want to give a special shout out to the company that completes our dinner plates.  Because yes, hummus and veggies as a side to chicken constitutes as supper.  Summer Fresh Salads, Hummus and Dips are “Real food, you can feel good about everyday”.  We find them in the refrigerated deli section of our local grocery stores. #18: What's Relatable?

2019-03-0541:501

We've had some people reach out to us over the last little while about whether or not we're "relatable" and we want to set the record straight about what "relatable" looks like for us and how we don't think "success" should diminish your relatability.  We're still the same women. We're still the same moms. And we're still the same dream chasers we've always been.  Listen on to hear our tell-all. We're also stoked to have Summerfresh on board this season because what's not to love about a company that supplies dip.  Summer Fresh Salads, Hummus and Dips are “Real food, you can feel good about everyday”.  We find them in the refrigerated deli section of our local grocery stores. We're pacers.  Email checkers. Go getters. Dream chasers. And we're always hungry for more. We care less about celebrating the big moments because we've usually already moved on to dreaming about the next milestone. Coming to a city near you in Spring 2019! How do we work? Like how does Cat work with Nat, and Nat work with Cat? It's not always simple to describe but we're going there. It's stronger than a friendship, or a relationship, it's like....a. This might be a bit of a controversial one because it doesn't really follow popular opinion about how to "find yourself" after babies.  Listen along to hear what we think happens after babies and how we navigated through that just after we had our kids and even now.Have you bought our new book "Mom Truths" yet?  Buy it online ahead of the March 12th on-sale date over at catandnat.ca/book or anywhere books are sold. I love this podcast! Lately I feel as if all social media people seem to be following a script. Post stories, do lives, write a book then go on tour. It seems as though you did it all first. I appreciate all of your honesty and the inside look into Cat & Nat. You truly feel like friends.

thank you!!!! Omgg I have been trying sooo hard to find a job from 9 to 2 so i can drop my kids off and pick them up but NO ONE will give me the chance. it's so discouraging and frustrating. I am a really hard worker and I know they would love me if they would just give me the chance and work with my mom schedule. They make it so hard for moms.
