MY CRAZY THOUGHTS

Elzhi and Khrysis come up with a dope album in the year which is considered the new golden age of rap (2018). It came out in february and i dont know why i am just hearing this good album.

The year has come to an end and I consider 2018 one of the best years of rap period. Check out my list of favorite rap albums and favorite producers of the year.

Problems S2 is out and i rated it along with some other music, but music was not my main focus on this episode. The 5th installment of super smash bros is out and it is my favorite series of all time. It does not let me down. So many stages and so many characters. The best game of all time in my opinion. My PS4 has been collecting dust and i tell you why i believe the Nintendo Switch is better than the PS4.

TDE's newest signee Reason dropped a song a couple of days ago and it is straight flames. I'm deeming this best song of the year so far. We have had some good music come out, but he rapped pure pain on this track. Everything was sonically dope about this track. The production was A-1 and the lyrics matched. You can tell this is one hungry rapper. I cant wait to hear more from this guy. Please dont disappoint us.

Smiff-N-Wessun return for another album and it has good bars and great features. Most notably is that it has production from 9th wonder. Go check out the album. Mature raps are sometimes my favorite albums to listen to.

Odd futures Casey Veggies drops the first album of 2019 that i like. I talk about Futures new album. J cole drops a single and expresses how he is the middle child of rap. He is a student of the game of the old school and yet knows how to rap like a new school artist. Definition of a middle child.

Soulja boy is on a roll in the beginning of 2019. He had the best year of 2018. Is he the founder of new school hip hop. I do believe so. Berner's project came out in 2018 and i give my take on the album. J cole's compilation album Revenge of the dreamers is coming and i can not wait.

Curren$y drops Weed and Instrumentals on christmas. Hardest working rapper in the game. My son had the coolest gift for me this Christmas. AB to Jay-Z is a dope ass book. Statik Selektah and Terminology drop 1982.

Styles P album dropped in November and i am just now hearing it. 9th wonder drops a project with 42 songs and most of them have no rapping on it. This album should be for anybody who aspires to be a rapper. Free beats to rap to and they are all quality. Tory Lanez and Royce da 5'9 beef. Oklahoma City's thunder are in 3rd place in the conference on the West. Watch us take over.

My first born son is due tomorrow and i chat about it while driving home from work. I briefly discuss Reasons album being top 5 of the year with only a short amount of time being out. This young thug EP is really good. I cant get enough of it. Ghost face drops a solid effort with his lost tapes. We need more rappers with lost tapes.

On this episode i rate Method Man's (Meth Lab 2), Vic Mensa's (Hooligans), Big krit's (Trifecta), and Kodak Black's (Dying to live) albums. Kodak is interviewed by Hot 97 and it starts friendly and turns sour by Ebro's questions. Kanye tweets over 100 tweets in less than 48.

Check out this podcast as i rate the latest music projects that have come out. J Coles possibly best breakout star from his dreamville's imprint, J.I.D, has a project titled DiCaprio 2. As the album progresses it gets better. Black Thoughts, Streams of Thoughts Vol 2, lives up to its hype. Tekashi 6ix9ine has recently been incarcerated but has got the whole world paying attention to his moves. He drops an album and shows that he has versatility and shows that he has talent. He made me pay attention to his music and i had no intent on ever listening to him. Very well put together project by 6ix9ine. Meek Mill finally drops his album after his incarceration and to me this is by far his best album to date. Jay-Z steals the show and has the best verse on the entire album. Chance the Rapper and Big K.R.I.T both get on there independent grind and drop 2 songs and Krits is titled an EP called Double Down. Alchemist drops an EP and Earl Sweatshirt drops an album titled Some Rap Songs. 2018 keeps getting better.

Strictly a quick preview of all the new music that has come out that has caught my eye. Diplomatics may be getting older but the sound remains true to who they are. Excited to listen to one of my favorite groups as a teenager. Creed II comes out and the joint with Rick Ross and Nas is my favorite song on the album. Jaden Smith is weird and some would say entitled but if you strip his name away from him he is a true artist. Not my cup of tea to listen to, but he has def carved his own lane into rap. I think the younger generation can truly appreciate his work. Check out the sunset tape.

I would almost consider 2018 the new golden years of hip hop. Its been a lot of great projects that have been put out by rappers. A lot of people say that rappers sound the same nowadays, but if you dig deep enough you will always find gems. This year you did not have to. Good material is easily accessible. Anderson. Paak was highly in anticipation after gifting people with his classic album Malibu. Dr Dre took him under his wing and helped him polish another possible classic and that is Oxnard. I think every track sounds sonically dope besides maybe 1 song and that track may grow on me. Big K.R.I.T dropped a surprise EP as well. Kirk Knight of Pro Era dropped an album too. I go back to the previous podcast and talk about Swizz Beats last album versus 9th wonders album. I think 9th wonder should make Swizz go back to the drawing board. 9th has star power throughout his album but nowhere near the superstars that swizz has throughout his album, yet it outshines from lyrics to beat selection. Both are solid efforts. Kevin Durant and Draymond get into a rift and Draymond hits Kevin Durant below the belt with his words. Kevin is gone after this year.
