This week, we talk about codependency, technological anxiety, surveillance capitalism, and the horror of animatronic dolls in Child's Play (2019).   Next time on Macabre Media podcast, we're digging into our first Alfred Hitchcock film: the terrifying classic, the Birds. Support Macabre Media on Patreon, follow us on Twitter and Instagram, and join our Discord server! Follow Kaleb, Jorge, and Pearson on Twitter, too. Our logo and artwork were designed by Nathanael Whale.
In this episode, Kaleb, Jorge, and Pearson discuss religion, patriarchy, and reproductive labor in Robert Eggers' directorial debut, The VVitch.  In two weeks time, we'll be chatting about Child's Play (2019), available to stream on Hulu.  Support Macabre Media on Patreon, follow us on Twitter and Instagram, and join our Discord server!  Follow Kaleb, Jorge, and Pearson on Twitter, too.  Our logo and artwork were designed by Nathanael Whale.
We continue our kaiju mini-series with Godzilla (2014) and Godzilla: King of the Monsters (2019)! Listen to Kaleb and Jorge geek out while Pearson, the podcast's resident grouch, spends way too much time overanalyzing these good-ol'-fashioned creature features. In two weeks, we'll be discussing the titanic clash of Godzilla vs. Kong (2021)!  All three films are available on HBO Max (or you can just torrent them...in Minecraft.)  Support Macabre Media on Patreon, follow us on Twitter and Instagram, and join our Discord server!  Follow Kaleb, Jorge, and Pearson on Twitter, too.  Our logo and artwork were designed by Nathanael Whale.
We got King Kong in the trunk!  We're kickin' off our kaiju mini-series in the Legendary Studios' monsterverse with the 2017 monster film, Kong: Skull Island. You can check out the movie on HBO.  In two weeks time, we'll be doubling up and chatting about Godzilla (2014) and Godzilla: King of Monsters (2019) which, conveniently, are also on HBO.  Or you can just torrent them, I guess...but make sure you have a VPN!  Support Macabre Media on Patreon, follow us on Twitter and Instagram, and join our Discord server!  Follow Kaleb, Jorge, and Pearson on Twitter, too.  Our logo and artwork were designed by Nathanael Whale.
This week, we're wrapping up our kaiju mini-series with the long-anticipated clash of the titans: Godzilla vs. Kong (2021)!  Spoilers: We mostly thought it was meh.  You can watch Godzilla vs. Kong (2021) in theaters or on HBO Max.  Next week, we're discussing The VVitch (2015)! Unfortunately, it's not available on any streaming services at the time of this recording so...torrent it (on Minecraft.)  Support Macabre Media on Patreon, follow us on Twitter and Instagram, and join our Discord server! Follow Kaleb, Jorge, and Pearson on Twitter, too. Our logo and artwork were designed by Nathanael Whale.

On this episode we discuss a movie from the 60s and it gets pretty political. We also had Anthony Derington from Something Ghoulish and Ghoulish Cast on, so that was cool.  Follow Anthony on Twitter @AMDerington Check out Something Ghoulish and Ghoulish Cast Ghoulish Cast on Twitter Something Ghoulish on Twitter Something Ghoulish on Instagram Something Ghoulish website
THIS EPISODE WAS RECORDED IN APRIL. We are starting a new miniseries called Covinema to play off of COVID-19. This is a serious time but we have to be able to make light of it to some degree and we hope to do that while advocating for strict and serious precautionary measures. This series will be solely focused on infection and outbreak films but while we joke about it, this is super serious and we ask that you guys please take care of yourself.
