From being ranked among the top 5% of podcasts globally to reaching number 3 in the top 25 Strategy podcasts in Australia, there are many victories to celebrate! However, it wasn't all smooth sailing. There were definitely days when I had to push myself to think harder, to find new content ideas, and to keep going even when the end seemed far away. But, having an end date in sight was super helpful. It gave me something to work towards and helped me prove to myself that I could stick to a commitment. And yes, I did make it to the end!Looking ahead, I'm excited about the opportunity to bring more voices into the mix by inviting guests and sharing more of their knowledge with you. I also plan to increase the repurposing of my podcast and potentially change the frequency of episodes.Key Takeaways:🔑 Having a clear goal and an end date in sight can be incredibly motivating. 🔑 Even when things get challenging, pushing through can lead to surprising wins. 🔑 Looking ahead, I plan to bring more voices into the mix by inviting guests onto the podcast. 🔑 Repurposing content can be a great way to reach a wider audience. Thanks for joining me on this journey; I can't wait to see what the next season brings.I'd love to hear your feedback on what you'd like to hear more of in future episodes. Tune in next time!Unlock the Secrets to Podcast Success! 🎙️✨ Download your Ultimate Podcast Checklist here. Download the 'Must Have Podcast Tech List' hereConnect with Olivia:Facebook ProfileInstagram ProfilePodcast produced by Livvi Music MediaMusic featured, 'Next Level Me (Wild Mode)' by Olivia de Sousa. It's through making mistakes, learning, and persisting that we eventually shine.I also share some personal experiences from my singing career, including an unexpected live performance in Portugal, to illustrate how things can go wrong. I recently had a chat with a potential client who was keen to do some podcast guesting, but she was a bit worried about…giving away all her knowledge for free. Sound familiar? We all have that fear, don't we? Well, I wanted to share our conversation and my thoughts on this very common concern. Grab a cuppa and join me!In our conversation, my client expressed her fear of sharing her knowledge for free on other people's platforms. She worried that if she gave away all her insights, people wouldn't need to purchase her services or seek her support. I get it, really, I do. But here's the thing - in this day and age, knowledge is free. You can Google anything, ask AI anything. But support? That's not free! And that's where the real value lies.Being a guest on someone else's podcast puts you in front of an entirely new audience, and that's incredibly valuable. You get to demonstrate your expertise and build trust with a whole new group of people. And those who resonate with your message and your values might just be the ones who need your support and are willing to pay for it. Sharing your knowledge doesn't mean you're giving away everything for free. It means you're proving your value. So go on, strut your stuff! In this episode, we cover:🎙 The fear of giving away knowledge for free 🎙 The value of being a guest on someone else's podcast 🎙 The difference between freely available knowledge and paid supportSo, what do you reckon? Are You Giving Too Much Meaning to Things? In this episode, I'm delving into the complex world of interpretation - how we, as humans, attach meanings to events and situations that may not inherently be good or bad. We'll talk about the concept of faith, the ability to see beyond appearances and how reframing our perspective can lead to more positive outcomes. The conversation starts with a personal reflection on how the start of the year has panned out for me, balancing my roles as a business owner and a mum. I share some unexpected challenges that came along and how they forced me to slow down. This led me to the crux of the episode: understanding how we interpret and give meaning to life's events. To illustrate this, I share an old tale about a farmer and his horse, a story often associated with Taoist teachings. This story serves as a reminder that events in life are not inherently good or bad; it's our perception that labels them as such. I also share a personal experience of how a seemingly negative interaction turned into a positive one, simply by changing my perspective. Here's what we cover in this episode:🤔 The concept of 'Mum Guilt' and maintaining a work-life balance🚀 How unexpected challenges can slow down our momentum and what we can learn from them🏞️ The farmer and his horse: A story about perception and judgement🔎 The power of reframing and seeing beyond appearances🙌 An example of how a negative interaction turned into a positive one🌈 Why we shouldn't be quick to label events as 'good' or 'bad'🏔️ The importance of keeping an open mind and not assuming the worst in people or situationsRemember, we only see a small part of the bigger picture. So, before you jump to conclusions, take a moment to reframe your perspective. It might just change the outcome! Welcome to another episode where we dive deep into the power and importance of faith. 🎧✨This episode is all about one of my favourite topics - faith. It's not about denying our problems or pretending they don't exist. It's about seeing beyond them and acknowledging that there's always an answer. Faith isn't just about believing in something, it's a deep-rooted knowledge and inner guidance that helps us move forward, even when things don't go as planned.I share some inspiring stories from the likes of Marianne Williamson and Gary Vee, both of whom have shown incredible faith on their paths to success. We also explore the idea of 'absorbing the loss', a powerful mantra from Marianne that can help us keep the faith when setbacks occur. Plus, we discuss the concept of shared faith and how coming together to foster shared hopes and dreams can make anything possible. In this episode, we delve into:🔍 The difference between faith and belief🎙️ The power of Marianne Williamson's mantra: "I can absorb the loss"📈 Gary Vee's take on faith and patience in the journey to success🏃‍♀️ Turia Pitt's story of resilience and faith after her accident🌟 The power of shared faith and how it can help us achieve our goalsAs always, I'm here to join with you and share my faith in you. Are you making it easy or hard for people to become your client? In this episode, we're talking all about the KISS principle - Keep It Simple, Stupid! We're diving into the importance of removing barriers and simplifying processes to help you connect better with your potential clients or collaborators. In my recent experience of getting podcasting gigs for clients, I've discovered the importance of keeping processes as simple as possible. The more hurdles you put in front of people, the higher your drop-off rate of success is going to be. This revelation got me thinking about all the forms and processes we have in our businesses; do we need them all? Can we simplify them? For example, I came across a podcast looking for guests. My client fit the bill, so I went to fill out the form. It was a long one. I committed and went through it, but I couldn't help but think of how many potential guests would drop off because of the length of the form. This made me consider how we can apply this thinking to all areas of our businesses.🎯 Key Points from the Episode:Keep it simple, stupid! The easier you can make it for people to connect and collaborate with you, the better off you'll be.Consider the barriers in your business and think about how you can remove or simplify them. This might involve rethinking forms and processes, or it could mean offering guarantees to alleviate potential fears.Make sure your messaging is clear and direct. Don't make people go down a rabbit hole to figure out precisely what you offer and how you can help them.If you've got any questions, feel free to drop them in the comments or send them my way. I might just answer them in a future episode! Catch you in the next one. I highlight how personalities like Taylor Swift and Gary Vee understand the significance of forming a connection with their audience and giving individual attention. Further, I discuss the concept of 'priming' your audience and how it can make a massive difference in delivering your best.Key Takeaways:🎯 The key to success is building a community and understanding their needs.🎙️ Sharing personal experiences and observations can help your audience connect with you on a deeper level.📚 Always keep learning and apply those lessons to various areas of your life.💡 Try to look at things from your audience's perspective; understand and read where they are at.🔄 Building and nurturing relationships with your audience is crucial in business.Resources:📕 Gary Vee's book 'Crush it'Unlock the Secrets to Podcast Success!
