This week, Kelsey's got a big box of imported Oreo's for us. She got the Oreo Flavor of Asia Variety pack, quite a large box of: Original, Blueberry & Raspberry Split, Crystal Grape & Peach Split, Ice Cream Matcha, and White Peach Oolong Tea.Then, Kelsey talks to Matt about Malik Chandler of Grove City, Ohio, his use of TikTok to attempt a Chris Hansen, and the shooting of an alleged pervert and pos that occurred after. The Creeps also talk about Kit-Kat's, accurate flavors gone wrong, and being tired.
This week, a great lineup of sugar sits before our Creeps. We're trying Little Bites mystery flavored mini muffins, Little Debbie Cosmic Brownie themed mini muffins, and we're washing it down with the bold jolt of Alani Witches Brew - one of the best ones they make. Then, Matt shares the worst college football crime in years with Kelsey, someone who usually does not sport. We're talking about the now infamous Michigan loss that was egregiously turned into a win by referee intervention, the addition of an extra second, and an undeserved extra hail mary attempt for Michigan. Matt also shares the Western Michigan University paper's reporting of a robbery, because it for sure was.The Creeps also talk about doing what we want, kicking Spooky Season into high gear, what makes the best cereal milk, and Matt's love of football when it's done fairly.
This week, the Creeps talk about Matt's birthday party, where we tried Kelsey's best ever Italian Cream Cake. Then, Matt's uncle Kenny brought up a chocolate cake, donuts, and Bismarck's from Nu Era Bakery, located at 120 Stratton St. in Logan, WV. Open Tue-Fri 7 AM-5 PM, Sat 7-3, closed Sun-Mon. None of this cake lasted, we ate all of it. Then, Matt gets into some winter squatch, and then I guess some summer squatch? We're talking about abominable snowmen. But not just any old kind, nope we've gone weirder than ever, bringing you the Underwater Abominable Snowman of the Bahamas, found by whacked out divers in the late 70s. Somehow. They also talk about birthday parties, twists, cake fiends during cake season, hot dog shapes, the Buttercream Gang, and the history of yeti legends large and small.
This week, Kelsey travelled home with at least a bakers dozen of Pokémon styled goodies from Krispy Kreme! She also had to grab some seasonals because we are forever known for our love of Autumn snacks. They're already here and we gotta eat 'em all. Here's what we tried: Pokéball, cookie butter, maple cheesecakes, mocha, pumpkin cake, Charmander (chocolate toasted marshmallow filled, orange caramel icing), Bulbasaur (vanilla), Squirtle (cotton candy buttercreme, Jigglypuff (strawberry), Pikachu (lemon filled), very gold donut holes that cover your hand in goldThen, Matt tells a tale of tales gone missing. In Arizona, a couple steal thousands of dollars worth of books from their local library in an attempt to resell them to Half Price Books, for an amount we can only assume is like twenty bucks...The Creeps also talk about their favorite starter pokemon, opting for the seasonals and specialties, expensive hotel breakfast, library overdues, and the literacy crisis. If you would like to honor the memory of Dolly Parton and dishonor the memory of the Arizona book bandits, you can donate to the Imagination Library at Donate.imaginationlibrary.com/
This week, CODE ORANGE! The Creeps are still getting spooky and it's gonna stay that way! We're trying more Bones coffee, first the Army of Dark Chocolate variety, as Kelsey cold brews it with cold foam and chocolate drizzle because we're awesomely bougie and it only gets more fancy from there. They try S'morey Time, Holy Cannoli with all sorts of accoutrement. Then, Matt takes Kelsey on a trip to 1800's New England (all of New England, just all of it) for the insanity of several stories on the panicked belief that friends and family were vampires from beyond the grave. That those vampires were making the living sick instead of it being (Tuberculosis) consumption. And that the bodies needed to be exhumed, examined to determine vampirism, in which they were then cut apart and re-buried or even burned in (often failed) attempts to spare the ones left sick above ground. They also talk about the candy and pumpkin spice flowing, coffee roasts, needing caffeine for night recording, fall trips on the east coast, Colin Robinson, Val Kilmer in Tombstone, and Matt's pocket knife. Trigger warning: this episode contains Updog.
