Multiply that by your skill base (number of PoBs play the biggest factor here, more detail in discord #Sandlot-Spring-Training-101 The other main event of the week was the Penzoil 400 where you were given points based on your finish out of the racers we provided (21 total). Three drivers did not finish so they earned 0 points, the others started from 5 for the winner and worked down in 0.25 increments. This has been a blast to get rolling. Pursuit of excellence, commitment to team, and unequivocal drive. Season 2, Episode 30: Marissa Young – Head Softball Coach at Duke University, Presented by Major League University. As a player, Marissa Young racked up the accolades: Player of the year and pitcher of the year in the Big Ten, Career strikeout leader at Michigan, oh yea, and she set a single-season home run record too. But this interview is not about Marissa the player, this is about Coach Young as a leader of an extremely talented softball team. Coach Young is entering her fifth year at the helm of the Duke softball program. Her team was 23-4 in 2020 before being cut short by COVID. Unfazed, the dominace lead them to an ACC championship last season. I am not joking when I say this is one of our best episodes, and a lot of that has to do with our guest. Sandlot Talk: Season 1, Episode 16: Big News--First Real-Life Event Scheduled for June and Sandlot Stories... Power-ups for players ************************************************************************ This week we have officially locked in a Project Sandlot real-life event at the College World Series! This is a bucket-list event for ANY sports fan. We will have a youth camp the days prior, a social hour just before Opening Ceremonies, and tailgate/watch games the first two days. This is going to be a HELL of a weekend for PoB holders! Probably the second biggest piece of news is we are giving PoB holders the choice to send in 4 of their Sandlot Stories for 1 PoB. This is a one-time deal to reward those who have been with us from the beginning. Here are some notes that will help make your decision. 1 PoB is chosen as YOUR player (1 point) IF that player has a Captain Body (+1 point) IF that player has a Captain Background (+2 points) Any additional PoBs you play with your player up to Starting 9 (+0.5 Point Each). Sandlot Stories add fractions of points depending on # in the set (Young Leonidas is in a set of 127 so that card added to your hand will be 1/127th of a point. The Manager's Select is a set of 27 so that card added to your hand will be 1/27th of a point. This total number will determine the max amount you will earn IF you win. Players are randomly assigned teams or athletes that will determine if you win or lose. You, like the ducks, are along for the ride. A FULL EXAMPLE Rick has a great hand. He chose to submit all of it for Season 1A. His Hand has his starter PoB which is a captain body. He also has 4 additional PoBs and a DJ but no other Sandlot Stories. Hand value: 4.02 for a win (1 for starter +1 for captain +2 for 4 additional PoBs + 0.02 for the Sandlot Stories DJ) Jane has just started collecting PoBs. She only has one and no Sandlot Stories. Her hand is worth one point if she wins. Hand value: 1 for a win This week Rick was given the 49ers (loss) and the Cardinals (loss). 0 Points. This week Jane was given the Chiefs (win) and the Cardinals (loss). 1 Point. Because Jane had the Chiefs and they won, she added 1 point even with her one PoB.
