I dive into the works of Dostoyevsky, Nietzsche, and Kant to share five psychological pillars that will help you build inner sovereignty and resilience. We explore why rejecting modern victimhood in favor of radical responsibility is the only path to true psychological maturity. I also explain why a harmless man is not a good man, discussing the necessity of integrating your aggression and choosing meaningful suffering over empty comfort. A masculinity podcast that doesn’t suck! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Conner strikes an impactful balance between practice and theory in the interviews and solo ManTalks shows. The recent men’s work session episode with the anonymous guest was especially compelling. The interviews with female guests don’t suck - most of them leave me with a lot to think about! Finally, I love that ManTalks is not interrupted with A LOT of midroll ads. So much to learn for free here.

There is a lot more to the answer of why he is such a divisive figure. For one, he espouses beliefs that run counter to prevailing social trends. He shops his ideas in vocabulary lifted from right wing propaganda. Your definition of the word patriarchy seems dishonest in that the definition you gave sounds innocuous--but that is not the definition in current use by people today. People today use the word for a system. While the system definition has equally great social relevance, I suppose if you are looking at it through the lens of masculinity you would mainly see the positive aspects of the definition. If I'm wrong, help me understand.

Your comments about sovereignty and distance are key. When we start dating, there is a powerful draw for what the other person brings. Once it's yours already, already there, it doesn't have the same draw. In terms of mystery, maybe there is something to having separate rooms and undressing together only for sex. Overfamiliarity is the price of losing mystery. Finally, don't use the restroom with each other.

Good stuff in here, that in a lifetime of sex I had never thought of. Maybe most of us don't know the answer to the question of how we want to feel during sex.

This podcast has been the foremost authority on modern men for me. I read extensively and listen to multiple podcasts daily but after subscribing to this one 4 months ago I've listened to most episodes. The quality of guests is always great. Connors mini episodes are extremely insightful and allow heaps of introspection should you choose to go deeper. Anyone wanting to grow and challenge themselves to be a better man, this is the podcast you need! 5 stars.
