For years, Managing Madrid has focused on analysis, reporting, and perspective — what happens on the pitch and what it means after. But matchdays are also shaped by everything happening around the game: the fans, the media, the buildup, and the atmosphere that never quite makes it into the written word.
For the first time, we decided to document that side of the experience.
The video embedded below is a behind-the-scenes matchday vlog from Real Madrid vs Manchester City, filmed from the perspective of a journalist covering the game. It captures moments with fans, media interactions, and the general chaos and energy that surrounds one of the biggest fixtures in European football.
This isn’t meant to replace analysis or reporting. It’s an experiment — a way to show what a matchday actually feels like from inside the stadium and media environment, rather than just describing it afterward.

On this episode of the Managing Madrid Podcast, Kiyan Sobhani gives his reaction to Real Madrid’s win over Olympiakos away from home. This was a wild one. On one hand, incredible performances from Vinicius Jr, Kylian Mbappe, Trent Alexander-Arnold, and Andriy Lunin; on the other hand, the defending was terrible and the team still is not where it needs to be.

Great guest. If you ever need to really talk Barcelona and not just to that guy who can't formulate logical arguments, I'd recommend having Ms Poraria on again.
نمیتونم نه پلی کنم نه دانلود
this was just a poor game. No way should Real be sharing points at home with Rayo. Vini needs to forget the sideshow of arguing every minute with refs and opposing players and fans.
I wish you reviewe that why our winger didn't pass to Hazard even when he was in good position for score goal
Cristiano said Mesut turned me into a better striker.
I agree with most points. It all came down to 2 defensive laps that we haven't seen since October, and in a league that is overshadowed by Barcelona and real Madrid we don't give enough credit to a team like celta who was not afraid to sit and defend all game but to also play football when the opportunity arised. I feel like zidane wants those front 3 to be his go to front 3 benzema did great in every aspect except for taking his chance to score. Bale was not good. If Bale comes out and has a match this game is won by 2 or more goals especially if our defence has been on point they way they been playing for most part of the season. Besides Marcelo startingover mendy I believe this would be zidanes go to and most optimal lineup but he hasn't had a chance to get them together. The Subs I believe were fine mendy comes in Marcelo moves into a lm position to now form 4 through the middle and benzema and vinicius sit as the top 2 benzema can be a false nine and we can use vinicius pace to br
