Yes, certain factors cause a union to fall apart. But marriage is sacred and a creative act of holiness. One scripture that adequately explains the lifelong commitment in marriage, is found in Malachi 2:14-15: “But you say, why does he not?' Because the LORD was a witness between you and the wife of your youth, to whom you have been faithless, though she is your companion and your wife by a covenant." A certain movie that comes to mind, was one where a man fell into a season of complex problems. He lost his job. He got injured, he ran out of money and his house was foreclosed on. He progressively lost everything that he worked hard for and to add to his evident pain, his wife admitted that she had an affair. Evidently, he reached a point of hurt, unforgiveness, and hopelessness. Never the less he had to make a judgment that would change his life. And that decision was not about him as much as it was regarding his innocent children and the woman of his heart. The personal decisions we make in marriage are crucial and at times we conveniently forget, that others are also hurting. God design marriage as a covenant agreement that would bless not only the man and woman but families, generations, and nations

But a temper that has become out of control, is definitely a recipe for failure. Man Rage! Every responsible man one day will face the most important enemy of life. And that is dealing with his temper. There are undoubtedly many contributing factors that cause anger in a man’s personal life. Unfortunately, uncontrolled anger can invariably bring a desperate man to his knees. With so many furious and violent men in today's world, it almost seems impossible that men can overcome their rage. Yet, Jesus was known to get angry, we read it in the bible. John 2: 13-15 In the temple courts he found people selling cattle, sheep, and doves, and others sitting at tables exchanging money.15 So he made a whip out of cords, and drove all from the temple courts, both sheep and cattle; he scattered the coins of the money-changers and overturned their tables. When we read this verse, we can draw many conclusions, but one thing is sure, Jesus was upset. Therefore did he allow his temper to take the best of him? Lust Of The Eyes! And the tempter came to Him (Jesus) and said, “If you are the Son of God, command these stones to become bread.”Matthew 4:3 One significant fact we need to consistently maintain in our hearts. If Satan tempted Jesus, he will tempt us. From the garden, his plan has repeatedly been to cause God and man to be in opposition. One such trap is the lust of the eyes, all humans struggle with this fierce temptation. There is no doubt God made certain desires to live within us. It seems confusing that the God of divine creation strategically placed a passionate desire to lust within our hearts. Yet, it can be a sincere desire when properly used, which will become a tangible reward for the good? Lust is a desire for something we wish for, and amazingly some remarkable things we want can be beneficial. But when that desire invariably becomes a deliberate attempt to infect oneself, then that which God placed in us for good has now made us polluted. If there is one thing, we can draw from the heart of God. He wants mankind to enjoy life. Certain appetites are necessary for our wellbeing and happiness. But appetites that extend beyond proper reasoning and commands of God, will become the result of our demise. Sensuality in the confines of a godly relationship, meaning a marriage can be advantageous, but outside of that circle, we have a temptation that causes sin. Remember it's not sexual carnality alone that we struggle with, but the lust of the eyes, which has brought about the imminent fall of created humans. When Eve realized that the budding tree of knowledge good and evil, could be taken. That was not sexual lust. It was a desire to lust for something she was forbidden to have. We read a great example here that brought about her destruction. Have you noticed then when a grave problem we have no control over arises, that as humans we blame shift? We accuse everyone from politicians to race and nationality. We try and find the cause or reason as to why we were unable to stop it. According to federal law enforcement, mass shootings in America are classified as four or more people being affected by the shooting. In other words, less than four people are not recognized as a mass shooting, let alone reported nationally by most news agencies. Is gun control the answer? Well, there are undoubtedly certain situations strict gun laws might help alleviate. The other side of the coin is, a criminal or those determined to invariably getting a weapon, won't do it by legal means. What about modern countries with strong gun laws? Again some beneficial effect on fewer shootings, we all can agree. But sad to say, that nation will go to war against another country and use guns to slaughter thousands. What's the bottom line to all this? Have we considered that maybe God might be the reason? Or the potential solution as to why we have so much killing around the world. 2 Chronicles 7:14 (English Standard Version) If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land. Truth be told, regardless of what excuse or logical formula we come up with to stop the intentional killing in the world today. Man has to consider God to get the answer. When people humble themselves before God the result is undoubtedly a better person. If we are serious about transforming our hearts, mind, and soul? It's only by humbling ourselves before God. Submitting to His spiritual insight and asking God to grant us peace from within. Everyone can agree professional or non-professional, that most of our rage typically comes from within. We might be influenced by certain outside factors, but it is undoubtedly within a man where most of the potential problem arises. Notice 2 Chronicles 7:14. It is not the whole nation God is asking to humble themselves. It is invariably God's people that pray and then the nation will be healed. It is precisely the job of every Christian man to eagerly seek God for the miraculous healing of the land. When we focus on God and ask His intervention in our lives, He becomes the ruling force that steers us from evil living. Let's consider that today's shootings, wars, and crimes are being committed because we have very little spiritual authority in our lives. What exactly is spiritual authority? How important is it for men to live life in the spirit? Notice it is in the spirit, not sports. Although there is typically nothing wrong with a man and his personal interest in sports, most males seem to be attracted to a life of sports then of the spirit. Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God. Romans 13:1 (KJV) As controversial as this issue is, there is more talk of a man and the sports team he admires, then surrendering his life to spiritual authority. What is this spiritual authority that men typically need? Spiritual authority is willingly subjecting oneself to the spiritual realm of God. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. John 4:24 (KJV) Spiritual authority is living vicariously a life of absolute truth in the spirit. Another meaningful way to say it is, living by the appropriate standards God has set for us to worship Him. Divine worship is not a specific task we perform once a week. Worship is undoubtedly a devoted and consecrated life to God. Always recognizing and showing our sincere homage to God. No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day. John 6:44 (KJV) God the Father is the spiritual authority overall. Jesus undoubtedly made that clear when He walked the earth. I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not my own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me. John 5:30 (KJV) Spiritual authority is hearing correctly and understanding the leading of God in our lives. Every man needs to be led by someone and although we traditionally have earthly authority, we also have a higher power that we must be willing to answer. Whether we come under this higher power now or later, ultimately we will answer to God at the termination of the modern age. A man who eagerly seeks not the irresistible craving of self, but desires to be invariably led by the Holy Spirit. ANCIENT MEN What we can learn from men of old in the Bible? It is no light thing to tamper with God’s Word as set forth, to change His word is to pervert our selfishness. We see today in both church and government, the word of God is being changed in order to bring about a self driven purpose. Proverbs 22:28 Remove not the ancient landmark, which your fathers have set. In the above verse, the writer was reminding others, about the land and borders God had given to Israel in the Old Testament. If we apply it to our life today. God has asked the same of us, and that is by His word He has mapped out a set plan for us to live as believers. Men love to plan and articulate many things in their lives. Men are builders by nature, and men build by a set plan. God also had set plans by commanding Israel, to know their territory. Living within that which God ordained and not being greedy. We can learn a lot from the men of the bible, not as a history lesson, there are men today living under the same word of God. His word is still the same then as it is now. Men who struggled and have had to trust God in every situation. That applied then and it applies today for every man who is obedient to His word. What is Manlike Radio? I felt passionately the leading  of the Holy Spirit to start a podcast geared to reaching Christian men  around the world. It had to be a program that would develop into helping  men in a closer walk with God. But, with a modern-day agenda. With that  in mind, we find more people today on social media than ever before,  the modern internet has been appropriately named the invention of the  century. We all have heard the term the "Market Place," for many years  now, and that phrase still holds familiar ground in the hearts of  people. Yet, as one Minister who properly uses the internet effectively  said, "One can lock themselves away in a private closet and still know  peoples business, just by having social media."Something that was on  heard of a decade ago. Radio and television have traditionally made  their visible mark in the cultural lives of humanity, but even that  medium has undoubtedly had to properly adjust to favorably receiving  social media. This is now the new normal for today, its open  communication effectively reaching the world. The simple fact is that it  does not take a truckload of needed money to reach out to others across  the globe. This medium has become an excellent opportunity to connect,  encourage, and guide men who earnestly desire a closer walk with God. We  all naturally possess our own unique calling, which can be grafted into  the Manlike Podcast. This can be better accomplished via social media,  and expand tremendously our voice for God into the entire world. Let's  be encouraged to use this great tool and develop a program that shows  Christian men how to have a Godly talk in order to carry out the Godly  walk.
