Hot water springs are a fascinating natural phenomenon that you should definitely include in your travel plans. We don’t see them prioritized very often in trip schedules, and when people come across some of them, they’re always pleasantly surprised. Indeed, there are quite a few hot springs in India, and many are mineral rich, therapeutic and rejuvenating. Often present in otherwise freezing locales, they provide a welcome respite from the cold, and many also have healing properties. How exactly are hot springs formed? Rain seeps into the ground to form underground pools. When this groundwater is heated by magma and the surrounding rocks, it rises up to the surface. This geothermally heated ground water forms a hot spring. There are many such hot springs in India, so let’s learn more! It is no longer just about visiting places that are famous and well-known. They want to visit new and offbeat destinations while understanding their culture. There is only so much that Google can help you with researching about a particular place. If you wish to truly enjoy a holiday, you have to experience the local essence of your chosen destination and who can give you better information of the place than the local guides themselves. At Scout my Trip, we love our Scouts and the wonderful experiences they bring to our community of travelers. All our Scouts are virtual travel guides who help you plan your trip and bring a personal touch with their recommendations of things to do in a new place. Since they know their areas inside out, you get suggestions that are off the beaten path – things only locals would know. All those things make your overall experience so much better than trying to figure out where to go by checking online. So why do you need a Scout? A curated experience that blows your mind. Ideas, suggestions and advice that make your trip so much more memorable. Unique plans based on your needs and wants and interests. A personalized trip created with you in mind. You get all this, and much more, when you plan a trip with a virtual travel guide. Let’s find out more about the benefits of hiring a Scout! Our mobile app is now on Android and iOS! Welcome to the 11th episode and the final episode of Season 2 of the Mark and Embark Podcast by ScoutMyTrip. The host for this episode is Vineet Rajan, the co-founder of ScoutMyTrip.  When we conceptualized the whole idea behind ScoutMyTrip, the only thing on our minds was to make travel a more enjoyable experience for everyone. But, as we delved further, we learned more from our customers as to what they were looking for – more than a mere navigation map. They seek information like offbeat locations, restaurants, hygienic restrooms, home stays and more. Well, with endless miles in our trip history and expertise of the same, we created a trip planner that solved the purpose. Today, we areIndia’s first subscription-based travel planner where we offer curated experiences, Scout subscriptions and a personalized trip for each of our customers. Our planner is powered by Scouts who are travel experts spread across India, Nepal and Bhutan.  The year 2019 saw over 3000 travelers buy our subscription plans. A majority of the subscriptions came from Mumbai, Bangalore, Delhi and Pune – which was close to 75%. Of the remaining – Hyderabad and Chennai were leading.  It has been an incredible year of travel, and we thought of doing a little recap for our story and also sharing insights on how people are traveling.  You can also read this on our blog: 2019 - The Year That Was written by Sunaina Aiyappa. Welcome to the 3rd episode of Season 2 of the Mark and Embark Podcast by ScoutMyTrip. The host for this episode is Myra Naik.   A road trip is just not about arriving at the destination. Neither just about having a good time on four wheels. It is an opportunity to break free from your mundane routine. It is a chance to explore the unexplored. Those carefree days speeding on highways or dirt roads clear your head. Driving has a therapeutic effect and gives you that chance to introspect. Sometimes a road trip may not even end as you had planned. But if you can reflect back on those memories with a smile on your face and a silent tear in your eye, then it was all worth it. If nothing else, a road trip most definitely teaches you some life lessons that no form of formal education will ever teach you. In this episode Myra talks about 7 life lessons only road trips can teach you. Original Blog post about road trip life lessons was written by Shalini Mimani on our blog.
