The intro sounds a bit different! The cover art looks different! The podcast is being re-branded to Mastering What Matters: The Real Work Behind Coaching. That is because, we are switching things up here. I know that a lot of people like to be in the know, and I have coaches and entrepreneurs who will want to hear how I technically made this' business' decision. Today we are going over why the change, how we picked the name, and if it is a 'good' or 'bad' business decision to switch this up.
You have been there, I know you have - where everything was cruising along, you were full steam ahead to your goals until - something crashes it all down and you are stopped in your tracks. You want to give up, you just had momentum, and now it is all stolen. In this episode, we break down what I did when I hit a massive set back and how you can do it to (and help your clients do it as well!) to get through a roadblock.
My frameworks have made my coaching life SO MUCH EASIER. They make it easier to plan. Easier to coach. Easier for my clients to understand what we are doing. Easier to market my processes. You know how people talk about how formal education and the school system is all sorts of sideways? (I used to get so angry about this btw) One of the things that we learn or get trained in, in the school system is how to measure our progress - and the way that they teach us or train us - is truly fucked. When I was teaching. I didn't use the basic way to track progress - I made up my own system. And I want to share it with you today because everyone needs this and it is, in my opinion, what and how grading systems could be set up to better suit all humans.
I have been in a big transitional season - and it feels like it is coming to a close. Today I want to discuss what that transition was like, what I learned from it, and what I am doing now with what I have learned. What are your thoughts after this episode? Send them over to me @itskaylajury on Instagram!
Jon and I recorded a podcast together based on questions that you all asked me over on IG. You asked us lots of questions - but a lot of them centered around our communication.. like do you ever fight? And how long did it take us to figure out our communication style. Tune in for a Tell-All between the two of us on how our communication has changed over our 10 years together, 8 of them married. And then a little bonus rapid-fire Q&A at the end!
When I think about my time with my business, there were three ways that I was influenced down a path that was not 100% the one that I was supposed to be on. 1️⃣ Wearing the many hats of a small biz owner 2️⃣ Following other coaches and creators 3️⃣ Being in my ‘zone of excellence’  I am breaking down each one so that you can take this lesson and apply it to yourself NOW before you go too far down the path you aren’t actually supposed to be on.  Sign up for my Newsletter Check out my Support Wizard Sam
It's hard to believe that WholeYOUniversity has been shut down now for 2 months. It feels more distant than that and it also feels like I am supposed to go log into slack and check on everyone right now. But regardless of the time since WholeYOU has been here, I am still daily reminded of the lessons that I have learned from the evolution of running my health coaching biz for 5 years. There are two big lessons left that I want to share with you. This is lesson #9: ‘Other People Don’t Know You like YOU Know You’ Aka breaking branding rules for your biz Check out World Building Wizard Jury here.
Today I'm interrupting our flow of the 10 lessons I've learned from running WholeYOU with an update on my 'first place' aha. Podcast listeners from this year know about this big aha that I had where I was coached by my amazing coach friends on a girl's trip to realize one ginormous way my childhood was holding me back. You can listen all about that initial learning in the podcast episode called: My Life Changed in Palm Springs. And just last month, the morning we left for Italy, I had one of those really big, really difficult moments where I was working through my first-place energy again. So many of you have been very interested in hearing this story as you have seen something in yourself with it - SO I have decided to take the scary (to me) route - and share this vulnerable update with you as well.
