We take a look at Matthew 12:38-50 where Jesus, after performing so many amazing miracles, is asked for a sign to prove his identity. Jesus condemns their refusal to believe, then promises ‘the sign of Jonah’ – his death burial and resurrection. The challenge is clear: The evidence is overwhelming – so what is stopping…
Jesus’ compassion for the crowds is deep and strong- they are like sheep without a shepherd. But lost and hopeless though they seem, many are ripe for harvesting. So Jesus commands his disciples (and us!) to pray that the Lord of the Harvest send workers out into the harvest fields. A passage with some wonderful…
Jesus performs two amazing miracles but not everyone is convinced. No one doubts his power (not even his enemies, the Pharisees) but they still won’t accept him as Lord and saviour. I wonder, what is stopping you?

God’s mercy is wide enough for all- but is available just through Jesus. So what will we decide to do? Will we trust him with our souls and our every days? To do so isn’t folly- but a reasonable decision, for Jesus has absolute powerful and is utterly trustworthy. [Bible passage=”Matthew 8:5-17″]
Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount is over- and as he walks down he is confronted by a leper with this request: “Lord, if you are willing, you can make me clean.” In Jesus words, response, and action Jesus shows not just his power but his kindness too. [Bible passage=”Matthew 8:1-8″]

We all worry- some of us more than others, but Jesus commands us not to worry! How can we do that? Three key tactics come from this passage. Have a listen. Sermon preached by Philip Walker on 3rd November, 2019.
Jesus calls us to examine our hearts to test what we are working for, dreaming of and where our ultimate loyalty lies. But ‘self-assessment’ is difficult. Our hearts are deceitful. But by looking at what we pray for we get a good idea where our hearts really are.
Fasting is an almost-forgotten aspect of Christian discipleship, but there seems to be an expectation from Jesus’ teaching that his’ disciples will sometimes fast. But what is fasting? Why would we fast? How would we fast? And what might stop us?

There should be no such thing as an invisible disciple of Jesus. We are holy salt- and should make a difference in the world. We are visible light- and should speak of Jesus. A talk with plenty of practical tips to help us live and speak as we should. [Bible passage=”Matthew 5:13-16″] Sermon preached by…
The Magi see a Divine Sign which marks the birth of a Divine King and they give him Divine Worship... but not everyone is convinced because the Divine King divides people.
Every parent has dreams for their child, but Joseph knew what Jesus would grow up to do: He came to save his people from their sins.
To weary and down-heartened believers, God's word through Haggai reminded them of God's presence, God's activity, God's provision and God's coming. We should be encouraged and inspired too.
