This eye-opening episode of Mea Culpa features Lt. General Mark Hertling, former Commanding General of the US Army Europe, delivering a scathing assessment of Trump’s unfitness for command. We also learn how the entire command structure of the military loathes their commander in chief.
The foiled plot to kidnap Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer may be just the tip of the iceberg. Under the Trump presidency, right wing extremist groups have multiplied significantly and pose a grave domestic terror threat to the United States. In addition, through his own divisive rhetoric and coded language, the President has tolerated and encouraged the rise of violent, Pro Trump vigilante groups. Are these armed, right wing radicals, the foot soldiers for Trump’s new Maga Army? Plus, a conversation with Lincoln Project’s Jeff Timmer. The former Michigan GOP honcho and veteran campaign operative provides insight into how the kidnap plot is playing at a local level and discusses Trump’s party takeover and how the Republican Party might repair and redeem itself.
James Carville joins Michael Cohen on Mea Culpa to predict a historic and humiliating defeat for Donald Trump. Carville believes the whole family is headed to prison and Trump will use the threat of election day unrest from his MAGA Army to force a pardon. Don’t miss a second of this special interview. Plus, the Mea Culpa week in review.
An exclusive interview with Tony Schwartz, the author behind Donald Trump’s myth defining work, Trump: the Art of the Deal. First published in 1987, the book sold over  1.1 million copies in hardcover alone and stands as one of the most popular business books ever written; helping define Donald Trump for millions of Americans as the infallible dealmaker with the Midas Touch. Its influence cannot be overstated in how it ultimately shaped and propelled Trump into the White House. It’s also a complete and total fabrication. Go back to its inception and behind the scenes with its author for the first time and learn how it created the Donald Trump we know today.
A special, double episode of the Mea Culpa Week in Review tackles the surreal spectacle of President Trump’s Covid diagnosis. From his desperate attempts to project strength and power to his insanely erratic behavior, Michael senses that Trump knows he’s losing the election and has come unglued. He also speaks to former Department of Homeland Security Chief of Staff Miles Taylor about how Donald Trump is a danger to national security. Finally, he delivers a plea to all Republicans still enthralled with Donald Trump to leave the administration now, or face the judgement of history.
Mea Culpa turns its spotlight on the First Lady in this revealing episode about the true nature of Melania Trump. Michael speaks with Stephanie Winston Wolkoff, the New York Times bestselling author of Melania and Me, and the First Lady’s former best friend and confidante. She takes Michael deep into the East Wing of the White House; describing a hornets nest of deceit and complicity. Here we see a new side to Melania, gleefully taking the reins of power with the Trump marriage of convenience a twisted, real life version of House of Cards. Learn how she plotted against the equally petty Ivanka for a place in the spotlight and her secret plan to keep the First Daughter out of her way. Plus, explosive, never-before heard tapes of Melania denouncing porn star Stormy Daniels. Don’t miss this episode! (Please note the interview with Ms. Winston-Wolkoff took place prior to the President and First Lady’s Covid-19 diagnosis.) Post-Script: “When I wrote ‘Melania and Me’ I knew that every word of it would be subject to potential scrutiny, so I made sure everything in the book was not only accurate, but fully provable.  I will not sit back and allow the first Lady’s chief of staff, Stephanie Grisham, continue claiming I am a “delusional paranoid liar,” and other similar names to discredit the veracity of Melania and Me. Because the White House’s false claims about my character and integrity continue, I’ve had to take all appropriate steps to defend my name, which is why I released the tapes.” -Stephanie Winston Wolkoff
This double episode of the Mea Culpa Week in Review covers the New York Times’ bombshell report on Trump’s tax evasion. Michael delves deep into how the revelations will effect the President’s fragile ego. Then it’s a super smack-down, debate special report showing Trump at his most unhinged; turning the debate stage into a wrestling ring. And finally, exclusive never before heard tapes of Fox News honcho Bill Shine working with Michael in 2016 to clean up the Trump/Megyn Kelly apology fiasco. Truly an insane episode. Don’t miss a second!

Trump Derangement Syndrome

In episode one of Michael Cohen's Mea Culpa podcast, he begins with an overview of the series and diagnoses the virulent and dangerous Trump Derangement Syndrome. His first guest is Rosie O’Donnell, who, for nearly a decade, was the recipient of disgusting attacks and abuse from the President, some of it directed by Cohen himself. After losing his soul and perhaps his mind within the Trump inner circle, Cohen finds himself cast out and arrested by the FBI and eventually sentenced to three years in prison. Feeling abandoned and utterly alone, Cohen hits bottom at FCI Otisville; believing his life is over. Then, to his surprise, six months after reporting to custody he receives a letter from Rosie the day the President is impeached. Find out what happens next on the season premiere of Mea Culpa!

Hey Michael!! I wasn't sure what to expect from you, considering your role in US politics, but I was beyond impressed!! What an EXCELLENT first episode!! You brought compassion and genuine, brutal TRUTH to the table! I will DEFINITELY be a regular listener and I'll spread the good word about your new podcast. I purchased your book after listening and I'm about to settle down to start reading--I'm looking forward to hearing more of your story. I cannot imagine what your life has been like or what you're going through, but as one single voice in America, I appreciate that you share your story. May your heart begin to feel lighter, Michael--you're getting out there and doing the right thing.

Read Authoritarian Nightmare by John Dean and Bob Altmeyer if you want insight into Trump and his followers. Trump is a "double high" leader and is dangerous. It's a fascinating, data based look at the personality type.

I am happy you are now telling the truth but I feel you need a lot more personal growth! Sometimes in your interviews on this podcast you do not seem to accept full responsibility for decades of all the wrong you did with Trump. Also, I would like to hear from your wife. How did she make the decision to stay by your side? I do not think I could do that for what you put your family through.

Fascinating behind the scenes and history of tRump prior to and during campaigns & presidency. This episode provides some answers to me why tRump is all into promoting far right propaganda & criminal activity.

Michael, I enjoyed your Podcast. I am heartened that you have found the path of redemption. It is really amazing how sometimes the worst things that happen to us end up being necessary, and changing us in ways we could never have imagined. These things ultimately make us better, and we find destiny's purpose. God is good. Your former boss has done much to this country much with malevolent intent; however, I am absolutely certain, what was meant for bad will ultimately work for our best good. Most Americans are indeed kind. Kind without the expectation of any return or favor. God Bless You, Your Wife and Family. I was also heartened that although Rosie has been on the receiving end of many bad things, she seems not to have malice for anyone. Romans 8:28.

He sounds so insincere when he apologizes for his crimes. He's a sociopath. Well, who hangs with sociopaths? Other sociopaths. Doubt an honorable person would hire him.

Sure, this helps to promote Michael's book, but that's a good thing here. We can almost all agree that each of us regrets something that we're not proud of, crime or not When given a chance, we can learn from the experience and help others learn from the experience. Michael makes no excuses, but sets out to help others who might otherwise be misinformed and misled by Donald Trump. Shed your prejudices and have a listen.

Michael, I read both your book and Stephanie's, I highly recommend them both. As a former attorney, do you think Barr will be disbarred? Or will he be given a pass for his ethics violations?
