This episode is a departure from the usual format! I picked three things that were top of mind and ramble on to test out my new audio equipment: tough conversations with colleagues, finding one's ambitions (again), and trying podcast ideas that might fail. And it's like 3 times longer than normal. I expect episodes for this season to be more sporadic and more like life updates.
I talk about my troubled past as a student unable to function as a human. And how that has creeped into my present. Mayhaps my favorite episode to date. More personal than practical, but I hope it helps you be personal too.
We continue on the theme of resilience this week. For me, that meant adjusting to changing plans.
Watching the Winter Olympics today and the Olympians are showing incredible grace and resilience. Also the queen has lived for a really long time. And finally, a warm welcome to anyone who has been invited to listen to my little corner of the internet. Love to have you here!
In which the hero decides explaining the cloud to his listeners is great morning coffee. Find me on Twitter @MeasuredPod .
Apparently Kid Cuisine predates my birth. So I talk about what these new facts of the world mean for my generation.
I put together a little surprise for my friend. I also have my first guest recording! Send me your voicemail and I'll work harder to get it on the podcast!
It's already February 1st and my personal goals are already in shambles! We're committing the rest of February to making forward progress on that front. It's We-Love-Dishes February now.
In S4E8, Carrie Bradshaw learned an important lesson about backing up one's data when working with computers. That was 21 years ago and I still haven't learned mine. So hear ye hear ye, I deleted my partner's work, that's right -- not even my own, and the recycling bin couldn't save me.
I talk about task management a lot more than I probably should have.
I talk about being late on my podcast post today. And why I can live with that.
I talk mostly about my mum in this one and what her sacrifice means to me. How it shapes why I talk about work all the time on this podcast. I also get historical facts wrong. @ me on Twitter, @MeasuredPod, to correct me.
I've got a bit of pep in my step today. And I hope you do too. I'm chasing after my vision for the week.
We start the day wishing my friend a happy birthday. Then we plan to be the best at anything we choose for the week.
The episode in which I gush for 90% of the episode about how geeked I am that someone on the internet found my work. I'll do another similar episode when I find out someone is listening to this podcast. Tweet me @MeasuredPod to have me gush about your tweet for 90% of the episode.
I talk about toeing the line between pride and humility. I also add background music randomly so consider this an experiment.
I share what has me excited about officially being a morning person for 2022.
I am celebrating being healthy and late for a meeting :)
I talk about my struggles with emotional regulation and how I'm keeping my day lean to manage through it.
My first freestyle episode where we celebrate moments feeling like a champion.
