Description

In short, Memorial is a Gospel-Centered Church that believes Jesus is everything and through faith/belief/trust in Jesus we pursue following Him together as one family.

We believe that God places His people together in the context of a local body of believers (His church), not by accident, but for the Spirit-empowered purpose of glorifying Him through repenting and believing the Gospel of His son, Jesus Christ. Through His church we see His kingdom come and His will being done as He makes all creation right and new.

In all we do we seek to worship the Lord passionately, connect with each other authentically, grow to know the Lord deeply, and go and share the gospel boldly as One Body in Christ.

God is speaking—are we listening? In a world full of noise, distraction, and distortion, Jesus calls His sheep to know His voice and follow Him (John 10). 👂 Hearing is biological. Listening is relational. This message from Pastor David invites us to quiet the noise, open our ears, and tune our hearts to the voice of the Shepherd. Just like a guitar drifts out of tune over time, so do our hearts. But the grace of Christ retunes us—again and again—to hear, know, and follow Him. 🔥 In this sermon, you'll discover: ✅ Why hearing and listening are different—and why it matters to your soul ✅ How Jesus, the Good Shepherd, still speaks and calls you by name (John 10:27) ✅ How the enemy distorts our identity through lies and distraction ✅ What it means to tune your heart daily to Christ’s voice like a guitar ✅ Why Scripture, Holy Spirit, and community are essential to test what we hear ✅ How to practice spiritual rhythms that lead you into relational listening   📖 Key Scriptures: John 10:10–11, 14–18, 27–3 John 10:27 Deuteronomy 6:4–9 John 14:26   📍 Join us Sundays @ 9:15 AM 1120 Madison St., Jefferson City, MO 🌐 memorialchurch.net 📩 Podbean ▶️ Apple ▶️ Spotify   🔥 In all we do, we seek to: 🔥 Worship passionately 🤝 Connect authentically 📖 Grow deeply 🌍 Go boldly with the gospel
Jesus carries our burdens—and calls us to carry the burdens of others. Through His perfect intercession, we’ve been invited into a holy priesthood, standing in the gap on behalf of those in need. Is prayer really worth it? What’s the point if God already knows everything—or when it feels like He isn’t answering?   In this message, Pastor Adam helps us reframe prayer not as performance or obligation, but as an honest, ongoing conversation with a relational God- The Father. Through Psalm 73, Philippians 4, and James 5, we learn that sometimes the most powerful prayer we can pray is: “God, change my heart.” 🛐 This message will encourage you to: ✅ Talk to God with raw honesty ✅ Keep praying even when it feels like nothing is happening ✅ Trust that sometimes prayer changes you before it changes your circumstances ✅ Believe again that prayer actually matters   📖 Scriptures: Psalm 73 Philippians 4:4–6 James 5:13–18 1 Kings 17–18 (Elijah) Psalm 139 James 4:2 John 15:5 📍 Join us Sundays @ 9:15 AM 1120 Madison St., Jefferson City, MO 🌐 memorialchurch.net 📩 Podbean ▶️ Apple ▶️ Spotify 🔥 We exist to: 🔥 Worship passionately 🤝 Connect authentically 📖 Grow deeply 🌍 Go boldly with the gospel
When you think about God, what comes to mind? A distant judge? A cosmic boss? Or a compassionate Father who longs to be with you?   In this message, Pastor David opens our new series on prayer by showing how Jesus invites us not into performance—but into presence. Through the aching words of the disciples, “Lord, teach us to pray,” we discover that prayer isn’t a skill to master—it’s a relationship to practice.   🔥 In this message, you’ll learn: ✅ Why prayer begins with longing, not technique ✅ How Jesus models a daily rhythm of abiding with the Father ✅ What the Lord’s Prayer teaches us about identity, dependence, and trust ✅ Why the torn temple curtain means you are welcome, not rejected ✅ How prayer is the gift of returning home again and again to God’s heart   📖 Key Scriptures: Luke 11:1–4 John 3:16 Hebrews 4:14–16; 10:19–22 Matthew 27:50–51 Exodus 26:31–33 Psalm 23, 5, 63   💒 Join us Sundays @ 9:15 AM 📍 1120 Madison St., Jefferson City, MO 🌐 Visit our website   📱 Stay connected: 👉 Follow us on Facebook   🎧 Listen to the podcast: ▶️ Podbean ▶️ Apple Podcasts ▶️ Spotify   📩 Need prayer or support? 📬 Email us at getconnected@memorialchurch.net     🔥 In all we do, we seek to: 🔥 Worship the Lord passionately 🤝 Connect authentically 📖 Grow deeper in our faith 🌍 Go and share the Gospel boldly   📖 “Lord, teach us to pray…” — Luke 11:1
