This is part two on the topic of healing from the trauma of war. The previous episode is 349. If you haven't listened to that one first, it would probably help to start there. Welcome back to a new episode of Mentors4mil. We're happy that you're here. On this episode, Phil and Jared discuss several topics and answer your questions regarding the use of Psychedelics to help with post traumatic stress and traumatic brain injuries. Jared Rinehart is a former U.S. Marine as an infantryman from 2006 to 2011, and separated as a sergeant. In 2013, he became a contractor and protected a base in the southern province of Afghanistan where he saw a lot combat. Phil Sussman is a former U.S. Army cavalry and civil affairs officer who saw the trauma of war from his three deployments and he spent a total of 10 years in service. Both share their own personal experiences, the challenges of using psychedelics as part of the healing process and having to face their demons, how the process shouldn't be taken lightly, and how it's helped them in their healing journey. It's not the destination, it's part of the journey. The FDA designated MDMA and psilocybin as "breakthrough therapies" in 2017, which expedites the study and development of drugs that "may demonstrate substantial improvement over available therapy." The Veteran Affairs continues to research opportunities to aid in those struggling with PTSD. Please see our show disclaimer regarding this content. Hello. I think it would be a good idea, I made a similar gift for my wife and she loved it. After browsing various stores, I decided to order the for military wives pendant https://galaxate.com/collections/heart-pendant-for-military-wife here as they have a unique design and are also made from high quality metal. And by the way, they have a pretty fast delivery, everything was delivered to me in perfect condition.

This podcast sucks. Used to be good and actually go in depth but then they sold out. Learn this lesson, if you get cool people on ask them questions and steer the conversation dont let them dominate the convo. You get these interesting people on and dont even ask a single question about their service or deployments or training. thats what people want to hear. Now all it is is a long advertisement where they throw around a few jokes. last 5 episodes they didnt even talk about the persons career they just joke around throw sponsors out and then the guest pitches their social media. As a veteran there are much better podcasts out.

Does the 75th Regiment really do waivers for GT scores. I got a hold of the Regiment, not directly with the NCO's on this podcast though. They told me they wouldn't waive a GT of 100.

There are lot of inaccuracies with Alejandra's statements, she's not the first female to work in TOS at IAAFA, in fact I can think of at least 4 other females that have worked in that office to include the highest enlisted team member. Selection is based on skills and language, not gender. As for females being represented, the top officer and enlisted career field managers (E-9 and O-7) are both females. This is also true at a lot of other levels within the Air Force to include Squadrons. This career field has been important for females for decades, we have had females in combat since 2001 with special ops and outside the wire missions. Before Alejandra goes out speaks out of place, she should read the history of her career field to better understand. As mentioned in the podcast, she should no only ask those questions but also listen to the answers from informed Defenders.
