Description

To give the students an overview of the different types of small organic molecules that microorganisms and plants can biosynthesize. Another objective is to give the students a basic knowledge of chromatography based analytical methods with special emphasis on detection of already known compounds by interpretation of mass spectrometric data. The course aims both at students interested in organic chemistry as well as biotech students who want to strengthen their chemical knowledge.
