What we breathe, eat, absorb… all of it affects our health. It’s what fuels our bodies. If anything we’re breathing, eating or even putting on our skin is not clean and our, it’s actually doing harm. Our bodies aren’t able to function properly. In the last few years I’ve gradually swapped out all my cleaning products, all the things I put on my skin, I bought a pretty good water filter… but there was one thing I only recently addressed, and that’s AIR QUALITY.In response to the Los Angeles fires, this episode feels even more urgent.Today we’re talking to Vinny Lobdell - he’s president of HealthWay – a family run business specializing in customized air cleaning systems for major hospitals, hotels and commercial office buildings. Empaths feel and absorb other people’s emotions. We’re basically highly sensitive. ⠀⠀I sent out a survey a few weeks ago and ask what your biggest struggles are to painting a positive mindset, and one of the most common responses were absorbing other people’s negative energy.⠀⠀So I suspect that many of you are on the empath spectrum as well.⠀⠀It’s important to identify if you’re an empath or not because then you can actually learn to work with your sensitivities instead of being held back by them.⠀Your sensitivities can be a gift. It’s almost like heightened intuition.⠀⠀You can sense when something is wrong, when people are lying, or saying they’re fine when really they’re upset. You can connect to the universe’s guidance more deeply.⠀And best of all, you can start to learn where your real emotions end and where other’s begin.⠀⠀If you’ve a partial empath or just have trouble not taking on the bad vibes from other people, this episode will be highly valuable for you as well.⠀⠀Today we’re talking to Dr. Judith Orloff. We aren’t taught this stuff. We’re taught to fit in, and match these academic standards of math and writing and reading books that don’t really affect our lives at all, and when our uniqueness shows, we’re often called weird for it.⠀⠀Our life paths shouldn’t fit a standard. Is true freedom found in structure? We humans crave freedom. We push against boundaries. We challenge authority. Letting Go of Fear - 095

Letting Go of Fear - 095

2019-09-1000:51:3142

Not only does fear feel totally sucky,  fear robs us of our potential. Everyone has fear… and the way we experience it determines if we go for our dreams and lead a life we love, or we stay stuck and unfulfilled, and feel like we don’t have a purpose. Show Notes: https://mindlove.com/095 Fear is an emotional response to a perceived threat. So it can totally be a byproduct of our self-worth issues, but it goes even further, because it can attach itself to anything. One of the things we are most afraid of is the unknown… which means it can be difficult to take action on anything that is uncertain… which applies to everything we haven’t started yet. Our guest today is Monica Berg, author of Fear is Not an Option. She’s had an incredible life story. 17  years  ago  she gave birth to a  boy with special needs and in that moment, was forced to face what is a lot of parents biggest fears… and in doing so it turned into her greatest teacher. Today we will learn:Why the unknown is often scarier than the worst case scenario How fear physically manifests and what to do about it  How to shift your perspective and  collect evidence for your own fearlessness  Sign up for the Morning Mind Love at mindlove.com!Learn more about your ad choices. Have you ever had a goal that you worked really really hard for, for months maybe even years, and then when you accomplished it, it just didn’t feel as great as you thought it would? Show Notes: https://mindlove.com/094 So if our goals aren’t always fulfilling, is there really any point in having goals if they aren’t gong to fulfill us anyway? YES… yes you should have goals… but there are important ways we should choose and strive for these goals if we want them to feel meaningful to us. Today we’re talking to Kelsey Ramsden is my friend and also an award-winning business mogul and entrepreneur. She’s ranked amongst the top women entrepreneurs in the world. After achieving every milestone she set out for, scaling multiple companies to millions of dollars - she still didn’t feel complete. So she studied why. Most of the remarkable things in our lives are by way of chance, however we often try to engineer everything remarkable… “If I do this… then that…”The key is to put yourself in the way of chance. But how do we do that?Today we will learn: Why your big moment is often underwhelming.  How to define yourself outside your success.  How to put yourself in the way of chance to create magical synchronicities. --Sign Up for The Morning Mind Love for short daily reminders of how freaking powerful and magical you are, straight to your inbox!Learn more about your ad choices. How many hours do you spend on your phone per day? Did you know that our screens are actually changing the way our brains work, including our attention spans, our expectations and most of all, our capacity to feel happiness? One of the biggest factors in happiness is having a sense of meaning or purpose and in making progress toward that. But thanks to technology, for the first time in history, we’re consuming more than we’re creating. This isn’t an accidental byproduct of technology… we’re actually being manipulated by companies who have their own bottom line in mind over the health of our planet. Here are a few stark facts:10 years ago the average attention span was 3 minutes. Now it’s 45 seconds.Multitasking results in a 40% loss of productivityExperts recommend spending 25 mins to 2 hours working on a project at a time. If you’re spending less then you’re killing your concentrationIt generally takes 23 minutes and 15 seconds to return to work following a distractionOur guest today is the perfect person to speak on this topic. Brian Solis is a tech data analyst who has studied the effects of emerging technology. When he started to realize the profound effects this technology was having on his own brain, he knew he had to do something to stop it.Today we will learn:How technology is designed to manipulate us and the consequences of thatSteps to live with more intention once we free up time from all that numbingHow to reclaim our focus to find flowShow Notes: https://mindlove.com/091Sign Up for The Morning Mind Love for FREE short daily reminders of how freaking powerful and magical you are, straight to your inbox!-----Support Mind Love's Sponsors: -----Talkspace Talkspace online therapy makes taking care of your mental health more affordable and convenient than ever before. I'd like to throw out a caveat to this idea of toxic relationships, especially when considering toxic parents. The behavior described in this episode alludes to the fact that there is "choice" in the behavior of the toxic parent. However, this doesn't blatenly take mental health into account which may be a large driving factor of toxic behavior in many similar situations. I have grown up with a bipolar parent and actually see many similarities to the experiences described. But for me, it is harder to place sole blame on my parent themself as they have something that affects the way they think and live their life, where I can see that rational explanation never sinks in. The distancing of oneself from the toxic parent does make it easier to live your own life aside from adhering to that person 24/7. Thanks for the interesting topic share!

This episode wounds a bit storytelling but if we get a glimpse of the whole picture isn't that tough to find the connections... and if I feel somewhat weird about talking to a feather well, I can also see a pretty constant connection between how we think we soul or would feel in that situation or event and its correspondence to reality. The connection between us being happy and is deciding to be happy is real. As concrete as concrete! Live your pod every episode a little more! Ciao Melissa!

Neoliberalism is nothing to do with love. It is all about self-interest, performance, efficiency, economical way of looking at human life, it is an ideology to divide us as a community in which we care for each other. Neoliberals focuses on the so-called freedom, but they never really appreciate equality, fraternity and things made us human.

I love the viewpoints in this talk show as well as the diversity and oddness of the subjects selected. I've always been interested in the "non-norm" and this show brings light to all of those things. Giving me different options to deal with things I don't understand gives a certain power to oneself as well as clarity and understanding. Thank you and keep it up!
